Old Santa Fe Trail Beef Jerky

Best beef jerky in town! I love all the flavors, but the red Chile teriyaki is my favorite!If you've never tried it, you are missing out!

It's very tough to spot this business from the road if you are traveling east, as the signs on the building are quite faded. I circled around the block three times before approaching from the west, and then I saw a sign attached to the fence at the parking lot entrance.Unfortunately it was closed when I was there even though the listed hours suggested it should be open. No jerky for me, so off to Smith's I went to scratch my jerky itch. Although I missed it this time, five stars for my favorite green chile jerky of all time!

The jerky is good, no complaints there. The online service however, is something to be desired.3-5 days is not accurate. I have order from these guy 4 times and it has never taken less than 10 days. It took 12 days to get here this time and when I emailed them concerning the delay, they basically told me to pound sand. I wasn't disrespectful when I wrote my email, I simply said that (quote),"You may need to address how you are shipping as the delay may cause me to look for a different company for my product". Their answer was "I don't work for them (shipping company). If you don't want to order from us anymore because of that (then) that is your choice." Maybe they are nice in person, but when I can't say that is textbook customer service.

Just received my first order from these guys today. I opened a bag of the green chile jerky, and was instantly a fan. It is hot with great green chile heat and flavor, but what most impressive was the outstanding beef flavor that stood out over the other flavors. With no sugar and not too much salt, this is world class, real deal jerky.They have great online specials too, and it was less than a week between order and delivery in WA State.Patronize this company.
