I've been going to this location for years and a review is long overdue. I can't say enough about Christian and his staff at the San Mateo location. Friendly, caring, helpful, and kind are all words I would use for everyone at this location. It's a very different experience from any other location I've been to. Oh and I want to talk about Greg's review. Greg, I'm talking to you Greg. You do realize that the Square point of sales system offers the ability to leave tips for any sale correct? They don't actually have any control over that and Square empowers small businesses to have cutting edge point of sales systems they normally wouldn't be able to afford. If you don't like how that is set up. Talk to Jack Dorsey. Yes, that Jack Dorsey, he owns and invented Square. What I would say to everyone else, is to disregard Greg's review. He's an entitled man Karen. I've been vaping since before vape shops were even a thing in the United States. I call the guys that run the Electronic Cigarette Convention in California friends for the better part of a decade. I've been into hundreds of vape shops in that time and this location has the most thoughtful and professional staff of any vape shop I've been in during my 15+ years of vaping (To give. you a time frame, when I started, Circuit City was still in business).The team at this location deserves tips, bonuses, and raises and i'll have words with anyone that says otherwise without hesitation.

Just purchased a mod for myself and my fiancé. We are total beginners and came in not knowing what to expect. The staff was super helpful and got us set up. They took time to make sure we understood how things work and made sure we had everything we need. Great Customer Service! They have a good selection of mods and a great selection of juice. They also have a rewards program which is always nice. And great prices! I will definitely be back! Highly recommend this shop.*Update* They also do buy one get one on the juice on Wednesdays and Sundays. Can't beat that!

This oasis location is pretty good, but the best location is the Oasis on Paseo de Norte. I feel like I'm in a weed store when I walk into oasis. The location on paseo lets me feel more comfortable and allows me to feel like I'm not in a head shop. Overall the business is great, employees are average and the vape flavors are great.

This review is for the one located downtown.I went in for my first mod, the staff was super helpful it narrowing down which mod would be best for me. I wanted a different color and he offered to call the other shops but I just ended up getting the one they had, since color wasn't my main concern. They also helped out with picking a juice for it, they have tons of flavors to choose from plus they offer discounts on Wednesdays, Sundays and Military! This will be my go to place to purchase any kind of mods or juices for the future.

This was only my second time going to a vape shop in over a year and it happened to be out of town. My girlfriend suggested going here because she purchases good quality juice here and the prices are really good. I have to agree. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They have buy one get one on Sundays which is a great deal. I purchased the larger bottle and was flying home the next day and asked could they break it down into smaller bottles so that I could be TSA legal and they accommodated me without question. The other cool thing is that they mix their own juices. You don't see that a whole lot anymore. I was also able to use a 10 percent discount for checking into Yelp. Thanks again guys at Oasis for your superior service and products. See you next time I'm in town.

Whoever owns Oasis Vape is a terrible businessman . I say man cuz he hid behind his new employee to NOT exchange a malfunctioned vape that retailed at $17. What an idiot! I conformed to HIS return policy. I called within 48 hours. Unfortunately, I have a job that does not allow me to exchange till 3 days later. HE WOULD NOT APPROVE RETURN. Don't ever buy from this place . $7 is worth more than ur business . I will NEVER buy anything from this Moron ever again

I used to feel like family. The staff was extremely friendly. But....the other day I went in and felt unwelcome, unappreciated, and a little bit threatened. The new manager stated to me "everything is going to change around here, now that I'm the manager". All while he had a gun strapped to his hip. I stayed to him "you know me brother, and you where so friendly the other day". He then inappropriately, sarcastically, insulting, rude, and unkindly. Said "HAVE A GOOD DAY SIR!"in a very sarcastic tone of voice. The lady that was there was welcoming and nice. I also think that an employee with a bad attitude and a gun is a is not only bad for business but also a recipe for disaster.

The store is large, well organized, clean and the staff is really friendly. That said, they're always out of stock of the vape items I want. I've given them ample time to reorder and restock, a month, and they still are out of the items I want. So I went to another Oasis store and they are out of the items I want as well. Keep track of when you're low on stock of an item and reorder more of that item sooner than later so that you can meet your customers' wants. The staff is eager to please, but there's a caveat. I stumbled upon a well respected job website where former employees gave Oasis Vape a low rating to work for. Their main gripe was their low hourly wage and issues dealing with management. So what was Oasis's response? They added the option for the customer to tip 15% or more of the total sales. I didn't mind that so much when I came in for the first time asking lots of questions because I was new to vaping. Now, I dread buying anything there because I know the staff isn't getting a good wage. I don't feel that I should directly have to supplement their income when I know exactly what I want. I also would feel like a jerk if I chose the not to tip option, even if they were being paid appropriately. When did retail become an industry where it's expected to tip? When I go to Smith's, will I soon need to tip the person who collected my used grocery cart because Smith's doesn't want to pay him or her more? Tipping is a very strange cultural aspect pretty unique to the US. Servers are making around $3 an hour, but they are there to attend to many needs over the course of an entire meal. Who wants to tip 20% on a $70 charge that was only a two-minute transaction? Also, I don't like fake. The employees are disingenuous by being overly friendly. I don't want to be treated like an Icon when their agenda is getting tipped so they can pay their PNM bill. I would hope to be treated decently for simply being a respectable repeat customer who has spent lots of money on merchandise there.Pay your employees more. If you must keep the tip "option", make an obvious choice to be a tip amount of the customers' choosing. 15% on a large retail sale that required little work is nuts. Give me a visibly clear option to choose to tip just $1 or $2. When 15% is the floor percentage to give on a large purchase, that's expecting a lot from your customers. I am trying to buy locally and support our community, but I'm not spending another penny until Oasis isn't constantly out of stock, their employees receive a better base salary , and the current tipping system is drastically changed or eliminated.
