Novel Point Coffee

Normally, Novel Point isn't open in the evenings, but they were hosting a latte art competition last night so we decided to check out the action. I must say that we have some extremely talented baristas in the Albuquerque/Santa Fe area! It was fun to see the competitors go head-to-head to create beautiful art.I ordered an iced buddy latte - honey, lavender, and oatmilk. It was just the right level of sweetness and the espresso was perfect.A bonus of watching latte art being created was that after each round, one of the baristas poured the completed drinks into to-go cups and the judges passed them out to the crowd. The plain latte was fantastic, so flavorful with no bitterness at all. My husband and I each enjoyed one and after most of the audience was caffeinated out I grabbed another, which I took home and refrigerated for this morning. It was just as tasty cold as hot!I'd like to come back in the morning when it's a little less crowded and try their food as well.

Cute and quaint coffee place. The decor is modern and super cute. Limited seating available. Was very glad to have found this place as we just recently moved to ABQ and have had a hard time finding actual good tasting coffee!The baristas were friendly and helpful in answering our questions. We ordered their Buddy Latte in both Iced and Hot. They were both very delicious & perfect!Knocking off a star because upon returning to this cafe at a later time, the same lattes tasted different. My son has come to really like their smoothies. We ordered a blueberry mango and he has since repeatedly asked to go back to this cafe for this smoothie.Would recommend and looking forward to trying out other drinks of theirs.

I found Novel Point Coffee in mid-January and my only regret is not finding it sooner. They have a great front and back patio with downtown views. My favorite is the Buddy latte... It has oat milk and is very creamy. I like that they bring in food from local businesses. Like Papa Frank's breakfast burritos, which are old school and delicious. Had a breakfast burrito with bacon and green and it really hit the spot and took me back to high school. I've also had the potato wedges with cheese and green chili (of course), and it was a delicious comfort food. This coffee shop is a great spot to work at and I highly recommend it.

The shop vibe is cute, however the drinks are miniature size more like one sip and you're done. The flavor palette of the drinks is good however they will make no modifications to the drinks and I've tried a few times really trying to give it a shot but consistently the staff is rude! I have no idea why they have such good readings as myself and several of my friends have tried and all of us have the same feedback. Could be a very cute idea if the staff was nicer and the drinks were larger. Pastries are from shamrock. There's several other coffee shops in the area that are significantly better than this one.

As someone who considers herself an aficionado of coffee shops in Albuquerque, novel point should definitely be on your list of spots to check out.I will note that I like my drinks on the sweeter side and they definitely have plenty of great options, including the buddy latte or a nice Matcha. They offer a small selection of pastries and savory options, including breakfast burritos. I will note the last few times that I have come, the pastry selections have been a little more limited, but maybe it's because I've come later in the day. At one point they had red chile cruffin that was absolutely stellar.The spot is kind of hidden, but they have a cute little patio and the inside is very cool.

I had been wanting to check out this place. It is a great location to grab a drink or a bite. The one thing about the food is that it is meatless. I don't think that is wrong but a unique model. The choices looked good and want to go back to try some of it. The drink I got was really good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is great outside seating as well as inside.

Not my first time at this great little coffee shop. The food, the service is always exceptional. Even this morning as busy as they were, it was excellent! This winter blend of coffee and, my staple, the chickpea salad were not disappointing.

We stopped in before a meeting at the convention center since they were so close and loved this spot! The baristas were so friendly and they have some very unique offerings on their menu! The first day we came here we got the cafe mango, hazelnut latte, pretzel roll, and potato wedges with green chili. Everything was AMAZING! The cafe mango had a nice balance of sweet & heat, the latte was perfect, the pretzel roll had a great pretzel crust, and the potatoes were well cooked with the perfect amount of chilis for each bite! We were able to enjoy our items on the nice patio (they also have indoor seating options).We loved it here so much that we came back again before heading to the airport and got another cafe mango and the seasonal Lars & the Real Girl latte, and this might be one of the best lattes I've ever had! It's the perfect balance of light blueberry, salt, and fresh lemon zest! If we were locals, this would be a regular spot and we can't wait to come back and try more! I highly recommend this spot for well crafted coffees!

Such a cute little spot tucked away downtown! My iced vanilla latte hit the spot for these warm afternoons. It wasn't overly sweet, which I appreciate. I stopped by quickly to grab my drink to go, but I look forward to going back to chill outside on their nice patio!
