I couldn't agree more with the previous review. Mike earned my trust right off the bat by fixing my transmission for $167 for a shift regulator, where two major transmission companies in town had quoted me $1,200 to $1,800 for various completely unnecessary repairs (that transmission continued to run for another 75k mi until I sold the car). If Mike isn't one hundred percent sure what's wrong with your car, he'll take the least expensive, most conservative approach first which is what worked in this case. He has been an invaluable resource when purchasing used cars for myself and family, often knowing specific details about a proposed purchase that would make or break my decision. Truly "The Last of a Dying Breed", a good guy who does his job and respects his customers. I don't know what I'll do when he retires...

He is one of the last of a breed. An auto mechanic that you Can Trust, a family run business that has been open for 30 years, and only operates on word of mouth and reputation. Mike is a person I trust completely with my family's cars, I have no doubt about his abilities and integrity. He stays very busy, so bare with him, he will tell you the truth and not sell you things that you don't need.

Mike is the absolute BEST mechanic I have ever had. Quality of work and honesty are what I experienced from this man every time I interacted with him. If my Honda was a person, it would thank you too. Thank you, Mike :)

Just want to say I'm very dissatisfied..I called about a problem just to see if testing ..Transmission was available.. my son explained everything to the lady that answered.. she took info and told me Mike will call me back right after the customer he was waiting on..to maybe give my son some ideas as to what might be happinging and maybe to say when or if to bring it in..That was at 255 pm.. no call.. I called at 450 talked to Mike's trainee..he told me he ..mike..had left for the day already.I told him.. it's good to know..they don't follow thru with what they say

I've lived just around the corner from NV Auto repair for over 20 years but just started getting repairs done there this year (2017). Mike has now worked on all three of our vehicles from simple brake jobs to air conditioning repair to clutch repair. Absolutely no complaints on the service we've received! Best kept secret in the North Valley.
