The store is adorable and centrally located in Nob Hill. They offer plenty of team gear and merchandise. I love their marketing and the unique style of merchandise. I just wish it wasn't limited edition and you could access the shirts and jersey styles anytime. Their gear is of high quality, the atmosphere is nice and inviting and their service is great.

Whenever I go into the United store it feels like high school and I'm not cool enough. It feels very cliquish and after someone saying hi to me when I walk in, if they actually greet me, I am left to my own devices. No one asks me if I'm finding the sizes I need or if I need any help. I don't feel like it embodies the spirit of United. I often will only buy things from the game because I don't like the store. Go if you're cool enough for school.

Soccer -- er, Futbol -- sure was a no-brainer in New Mexico, right?I'll expound in a minute. What you need to know right now is that this futbol squad, currently crushing it during their inaugural season, is quickly becoming the Most Valuable Sport in this state, and this retail store in Nob Hill will give you a good understanding of why that's happening. Welcoming you as you enter the front door are profiles of players, a clean and easy flowing floor plan, a smattering of terrific shirts, banners and accessories, and some serious team spirit posted around the walls, including Meow Wolf's friggin' fabulous "Moar Gols" motif. Clothing can run a pretty penny, particularly the official jerseys, but you can support the bandwagon on the cheap(ish), too; I went home with a t-shirt and fan flag for $30. (Big props for the Pride-themed United flag, sweet!)One more note: It appears that marketing, PR and even the players often hang out in this hybrid store/office. Now, a quick note on the no-brainer. Many, many years ago, my favorite general question that I asked the general public was, simply, What does Albuquerque desperately need, now? Top five answers:1) An IKEA2) A soccer team3) Nonstop flights to NYC4) Trader Joe's5) Better donuts, BBQ, dim sum... the food list was pretty long. We're 4 for 5. Good for you, Albuquerque. Go United!

I must lead off with the statement that I believe the New Mexico United is the best thing that has happened to our community in a long time. The team's success on the pitch aside, NMU has succeeded in delivering a powerful rallying cry through specific marketing. The result is a whipped-up following of frenzied fanatics that bleed black and yellow. NMU has deviated from the tired and ineffective marketing strategy employed by UNM and the semi-pro sports teams of yesteryear and has made their focus about the community. There is no guilt-laden, show-up-or-you're-not-a-true fan narrative here; this is about New Mexico, not just the soccer. Well done. Now for the bad...very bad: customer service. My series of unfortunate experiences began as the month of May drew to a close. I decided I needed an official NMU home kit: the jersey of eternal return! These particular shirts are well-designed; the first wear cemented my place in the United family. Despite the good look and sense of belonging, the shirt was tighter than expected. As the jerseys had been out of stock for nearly 3 months (this is a good thing), there was no way to try on for size before I ordered the product. I took a chance on assurance by the NMU team shop staff that I could exchange with no issue. June 8 was match day against Sacramento, and I was looking forward to attending the evening tilt in my new duds. I called the store to see about an exchange for the next size up, and the employee informed me that all the merchandise had been transferred to Isotopes Park in preparation for the match, and that I could exchange the shirt there with no issue. Great! As I arrived at the park, I followed the NMU staff member's instruction, and proceeded to the merchandise table before kickoff. I was immediately greeted with an exhausted look from the associate manning the table. I began to explain the situation, and before I finished I was cut off. "We aren't set up for exchanges here. Sorry." I explained what happened leading up to this moment, and another employee came up with a jersey in the correct size. However, original obstructionist employee stopped her, and told me I was "out of luck." I went to the customer service booth at the park, having already missed kickoff, to explain what happened. The NMU employee was very nice and apologetic, took my name and phone number, and assured me someone would follow up with me. Two weeks passed; no one contacted me. I decided that I would keep the too-tightly-fitting jersey, as I waited so long to pay $90 for a shirt to support my hometown team. Result: Stern warning by the ref.My next interaction with the customer service staff at NMU occurred a few weeks after, when I visited the team shop to expand NMU's branding to the Pacific Northwest; my sister lives in Seattle, and I wanted to buy her a gift. As I made my purchase, I inquired of the employee at the register if there was someone whom I could speak to about community partnerships, specifically working with community theatre for mutual benefit and ad exchange. The employee took my business card and promised someone would get back to me. Great. I also wanted to purchase a 9-game plan for the rest of the season; the employee handed me a card and said I should reach out to the salesman. I suppose I need to sell myself to NMU if I want to pay for their product. Predictably, I never heard back from anyone. Result: Yellow card. I want to reiterate that I am an NMU fan through and through. I plan to support the club, and wish them the best. However, a fledgling enterprise in a market that has proven historically difficult to establish a foothold in would do well to remember that fans (customers) are the lifeblood of such a venture. United, you don't get a second chance to make a first impression; in this case I am willing to give you a third chance. You're not sent off yet; I hope you manage to avoid the second yellow and make correct your customer service deficiencies. I'll be at the matches in my too-tight but stylish jersey.

United's staff has always been very helpful and accommodating for any issues I had, whether it was with a kit return because it was too small, or tickets, or general questions. I've worked with about a half dozen of their employees over the last 18 months and have always been impressed with their professionalism and courtesy. Thanks for bringing something awesome to Albuquerque!

We've spent hundreds since 2020 purchasing your t's and accessories.Every time, we've purchased something we've had a bad experience.New employees unable to work the register, the credit card machine always having a glitch, a rude manager who sits in an office that doesn't want to help the employee or the customer, a senseless battle to exchange a brand new purchased item for something else in the store. It's been a maddening experience. Well, count us out. We recently came in and it was the same horrible customer service that you've been accustomed to delivering and that patrons are willing to accept??? No way, we won't be coming back.
