Getting ready to see Dr. Allen. Not our first rodeo here with an orthopedic surgeon but at least we are seeing the best.

The Center is Conveniently Located next to a Mall and has ample parking, expect it to always be full. They offer Online Checkin and you can pay your Co-Pay so when you walk in you are actually only letting them know you are there. They direct you to follow a color and off you go to the Elevator Banks. We waited about 25 minutes, longer than normal but the friendly Assistant was wonderful. I saw Micah Benson and he was really knowledgeable and we agreed upon care. I had two Steriod Injections and I have had many and I promise you he knows his stuff. The worse part of it was pressure (NO PAIN, I PROMISE). He is so good at what he does and his happy to be there helping you. I would have given five stars but the first person I interacted with was less than happy and then listening to those at the desk banks on second floor complain about their superiors and have their heads down ignoring the Patients coming upon them makes me feel they aren't very happy. But once inside you can expect really great care and people who make you feel valued and want to make you better!

I came by here to see Doctor Benson because it takes forever to get into UNMH, orthopedics. Doctor benson has also done surgery for me in the past, so I trusted him. This is a very nice orthopedic center.

I was able to make the appointment Saturday evening online even though it was outside normal hours. We were scheduled for first thing Monday morning. We were seen as soon as we arrived, even though it was before our appointment time. Everyone was kind, professional, and efficient. We had all of our questions answered, my daughter got her cast, and we scheduled our follow up all in about 35 minutes! Excellent all around

I felt the process was easy from start to finish. The orthopedist, Dr. Power, was a good listener and asked me about my needs and goals. I felt the staff was well informed and friendly.

I was the victim of reverse discrimination. This otherwise very nice receptionist man offered me the stool which I couldn't get up on. I was out of breath from standing and waiting so long. He saw I was struggling. I told him I was feeling faint. I pull out my drivers license . It happened to slap on the counter and he went off on me. He accused me of being disrespectful. I said no I'm sorry I didn't do that and he said just because he is gay he diarrhea respect. I'm sorry : WHAT??!!Then the security guard came and told me to leave . Later I got an email banning me from this clinic. I am seventy years old and on oxygen with heart failure and this is how you treat me. Good riddance I have since reported them to several agencies for discrimination and abuse .

Just be aware before you bother that they won't handle anything that might have a lawyer involved. Pretty crappy if you're hurt in an accident.

I found a different pain specialist and so glad I did. Realized that NM Ortho overcharge their customers ! I had a lidocaine injection. $300.00.vs. $30.00. Two times vs. 3 with ortho. Also, they wanted to out me on a morphine pump! I ran out of there. So glad I found someone else. This place is a ripoff. Plus, customer svc. are nit friendly if you can get ahold of them. FIND SOMEPLACE ELSE!

Don't waste your time and money here! Not only did the surgeon put incorrect information in my medical records, but also his medical assistant sent his order for a procedure to the wrong fax number, then after waiting 8 days for someone to call me with an appointment, before I had to drive down to new Mexico Orthopedics myself, get the order and drive it over to Lovelace. Furthermore, the woman who does the medical records release is a witch!! Oh god, I can't believe that so many poor quality people work in the same place.

This review is specific to Dr. Jeffery Racca and the extremely rude female Physicians Asst. that works with him. This could be very long and should be but yelp wont give me the space to provide the entire situation as well as names, dates and facts. All I can say is that Dr. Jefferey Racca has absolutely no time for you if you are just a lowly construction worker on workman's comp.First appointment he was friendly and seemed as if he wanted to help. Second appointment, when the workmans comp kicked in, Dr. Racca could not get me out of his office fast enough. He wanted nothing to do with me. A year later my knee condition has gotten worse and my life has had immense negative impact. He and his staff REFUSED to help and I've got info that proves they lied to me.

The worst ortho place in NM! Go someplace else. Go anywhere else. I had ONE appt -- I never went back. Doctors and other office personnel were rude. Couldn't have cared less about the patients. Weren't respectful of patients' privacy. Patients were separated by curtains, not in separate rooms. You could hear EVERYTHING //// I had broken my shoulder. I was waiting for surgery This was when it wasn't impossible to get painkillers. I needed a painkiller refill, and I received a verbal OK for Rx refill. My neighbor took me to the office, because I couldn't drive. She went into the office to get the Rx. (This was all arranged by the office ahead of time. I waited 90 minutes!! -- until the office got around to giving my neighbor the Rx refill!! And while I was waiting -- I wet my pants. smh I cancelled my surgery.
