This has been the worst experience with buying or selling a home that we have ever had. We were repeatedly asked for documents that we had already submitted and were sent documents to sign with incorrect phone numbers attached for us to receive the codes to open the secure documents. The closing time was scheduled for 0900. I was able to be off work for this closing time. Two days before the closing, Sam said he had a schedule conflict and was changing it to 1100. The communication throughout this process has been terrible.

Very unprofessional. Missed the closing date and did not contact seller. They have held the proceeds of the sale and are not answering questions. Have had to call their directly. They will not recall or trace the wire and keep telling us it is our responsibility. The initiated the wire and will not release our funds. Stay away from dealing with this business.

Delayed our closing a week with nothing but excuses. When we didn't get our first payment from the buyers a month later, found out NMLT hadn't filed the warranty deeds with the escrow. Called to insisted NMLT hand-carry the documents the day I called a short distance to the escrow agent. I was called by NMLT later that day and told the documents had been transferred to the escrow company. I called two business days later and found they had not!! Ineptitud on top of deceit! I'll never recommend this company to anyone.

Abysmal. This company , after assuring my home builder that they could get the job done, made A habit of failing to return phone calls. It took about 3 or 4 calls on my part before I could get the correct person (they seemed to be "unavailable " every time I called). Then I would go through identifying myself, the location of my property and even spelling my name only to be told that they would look into what was taking so long and get right back to me . Inevitably, they failed to call back and I'd start this process again. After going through this routine several times, I asked to speak to the manager and went through the whole spiel once more. He also said that he'd find out what the problem was and call me right back. Five days later, I told my builder that I was replacing them. After he got the same run-around and they didn't return calls from my mortgage company, he agreed. Three weeks after my last unreturned phone call, someone from the office finally called and I had the pleasure of telling them they'd been fired weeks before. Save yourself the hassle and find a reputable company. Thanks to these incompetent fools, I have to find a place to rent until my home is built. I agree with the reviewer who said they only gave one star because there was no option to give zero!

I seldom write a review on a business that affects my business on so many levels. As a Realtor I am held hostage by NM Land and Title Uptown ABQ. I have tried to contact this office as a professional and left numerous messages, to no avail. The title officer does not call me back or answer my emails. My seller feels powerless as well. I sent the contract on January 12th, 2021 today is Jan 26th and I have no Title Binder or communication as to the arrival of our documents. Nor does my seller have an idea whether his land qualifies for title insurance i.e. is it sellable? Our surveyor is waiting for a binder and so is the buyer. My seller has waited 15 days with no response from NM LAND AND TITLE. At the very least a simple communication would be respectful, after all my Seller is paying NM Land and Title for a service that is VERY Expensive. Not to be taken lightly, in regard to the cost the SELLER SHOULD BE TREATED AS ROYALTY.
