I ordered a 54 inch bathroom vanity. When it arrived it was a 48 inch vanity and the company refuses to make it right unless I pay another $250. We are going to court. I believe this is consumer fraud.

I searched for a local cabinet business online and found several in Alb. I selected NM Cabinet Gallery and initially worked with Christa. She was great and very helpful, however, after my order was paid for in full and placed, unfortunately my experience wasn't as pleasant. I was told my cabinets would be available w/in about a month or so, this was fine and sure enough, a little over a month and Christa contacted me to inform me that my cabinets were ready to be picked up. I was called on a Tuesday and I informed Christa that I would be down to pick them the following Thursday and that I would be there between 9:00-9:30 a.m. because we lived 2 hours away. This was more than a week away. When we arrived, no one was prepared to help us load the cabinets (still not a big deal) and then I was informed that the drawers on one of the cabinets still needed to be cut down and it would be another 20 minutes or so. After waiting and inquiring about the delay, we were informed that the drawers after being cut down would not close properly and that we would need to come back for the drawers! I was shocked and extremely disappointed. NM Cabinet Gallery called me and indicated my cabinets were ready to be picked up, yet, no one ever told me that they hadn't made the necessary cuts and/or adjustments. They had over a week lead time before my arrival and they literally waited until the day I arrived to make the adjustments. I'm not sure I've ever seen anyone do this, this in my opinion is just plain poor planning. When I asked for the drawers to be delivered since we lived 2 hours away and didn't know when we would be able to return, they indicated they would do this, and indicated they would contact me asap to make arrangements for delivery. Exactly 2 weeks after this, still no one bothered to contact me and I had to call NM Cabinet Gallery directly to find out what the delay was and why I hadn't heard from anyone. Christa informed me that they had been really busy and they were waiting for a part and that she would call me back with an ETA. I understand business are busy, we're all busy, however, I rely on good customer service and good communication is key. Too bad my experience didn't include this because it took away from the fact that the cabinets I received do seem nice and of decent quality.

Nice cabinets for a reasonable price but if you want good customer service go somewhere else. They did not return calls in timely manner installation delayed due to back order and poor communication about when it would be in. One day Installer left saying he needed parts then just didn't come back and I had to call and find out what was going on. Did not get all the parts to install shelves has been 3 months since I first placed my order assuming since they have been paid I will never get them( just need the metal brads that hold up shelves). When they drilled holes for handles they did not clean up the wood shavings. Wish I had known that the good service would end as soon as they had my $ and I was locked into using them.
