MVD EXPRESS

This location is rarely busy and the staff is always helpful! We always come to this location for all our registration, license and MVD needs. If you give them a call they will even set up an appointment for you and double check you have everything you need before you go!! So worth any incidental fees to avoid having to go to the traditional MVD and waste an afternoon in their lobby!

This location gets a 5 star review because of their attitude and continued attempts to help me get my license. Due to a DUI in So Cal almost 9 years ago there were many "glitches" with communication to and from Santa Fe. The DUI process is very difficult here. It was good to have an independent company on my side with all. As we didn't have an option of a private company at CA DMV it's refreshing to be able to go to a nice clean office with very short waits. If you want to understand the difference watch the Big Bang episode where Sheldon goes to DMV. A big thank you to the staff even when I was let's just say NOT happy.

I made an appointment online and was greeted by an employee, only thing was they weren't ready for me and I waited, luckily not as long as the State Office would be. You do have to pay more for the convenience including a $2.35 fee for using a card to pay, which they make sure you are aware of. I was there for a disabled parking sticker and honestly felt very judged by Lulu or Lala can't remember for sure her name. Questioning my Doctor etc...... But once I explained my situation she stopped the judgement. My issue is that I shouldn't have to explain it to her, where I go to the Doctor or why is really none of her business, I had the proper forms and the proper diagnosis to qualify for this convenience which will change my life drastically. I even didn't mind paying the $36 fee to get it as going to the regular Office would have been impossible for me. I don't think employees should get involved in the why's. I shouldn't be made to feel like an explanation is needed.

I was totally that person today who walks in 15minutes before closing time, on a Friday, asking to get my license renewed. I thought I would get attitude and a sorry we can't help you response. Instead I got the complete opposite! Hannah was super welcoming and had the best hospitality. She was able to get me in and out in ten minutes and was extremely kind and warm the entire time. She even ensured I was okay with my picture before proceeding. I've never had that before. While I was waiting another party came in (closer to 5min before closing now) and had an extremely difficult transfer with documents that needed extra review. Hannah and her peer (Don might've been his name) didn't bat an eye to help them out! I can't say enough about how taken back I was that an MVD was not only timely, but kind as well! Way to go guys!

For the uninitiated this a New Mexico MVD private vendor facility. The sole purpose is to save you from the inevitable waiting at the state office. That convenience comes at a price - $30 per transaction. 2 licenses $60 convenience fee. I was going to register my car too, but I'll brave the state office to save another $60. No discount for multiple transactions. Live and learn. The time saved vs amt paid does not equal a benefit. Ironically, the people coming in after us probably waited longer than I did at the state office less than a mile away.

I'm not sure how you could give this place a negative review they were extremely fast helpful and friendly and I was in and out in no time. Thanks again.

Made an appointment for TSA pre check. The guy looked at my documents, said no these won't work they are copies. He said I had to have certified copies. I told him these were the certified copies that those are the ones that were sent to me and he refused to accept them. Don't waste your time at this location. Go somewhere else. Funny how these forms were accepted for Real ID no issues.

As of August 2023, MVD Express has 2 employees working at the call center. Regardless of what store you call, every call goes directly to the call center. Between NM and AZ, MVD Express has approximately 13 stores. It usually takes about 15 minutes for the call center employees to pick up your call. At the actual store locations, I have received good service, but don't waste your time on the phone trying to get through.

Walked in 30 min before close and they were happy to help. In and out in 16 minutes. Don was really kind and guided me through the entire process.
