MVD Express

Tried to go to our State's MVD on San Mateo. Was told we didn't need appointments anymore. The sign posted said by appointment only. We are not in Covid protocol anymore? Couldn't get an appointment before my license expired. Was in Italy for a few weeks, wasn't allowed to do before my birth month. Tried to do online and could not....made no sense to me. Eight years prior I took my passport, social security card, utility bills, etc. The State has my info. Nothing had changed. Starting calling MVD Express for an appointment. Their Call Center doesn't answer...40 minutes and no answer? Was running errands and was close to the location on Menaul just west of Washington. Sign said no appointment necessary. Crossed my fingers and went in. Was helped immediately by an employee. I told her I needed to renew my license. Took my old license and invited me to have a seat. Wasn't even 5 minutes and I was called up by Keena. These people understand customer service. Smiling and polite! Was done in 12 minutes including the testing, picture and all the paperwork. Keena told me that I didn't need all of the previous documentation. While I was doing the onscreen questions, she asked if I did have my passport. Apparently, there was something missing from 8 years prior...no wonder I couldn't complete online. Keena was competent. How refreshing in this day and age. I did notice the other staff members showed patience and were most respectfully as well. Keena, Thank You! It is more expensive than going directly through the State but I was taken care of properly!

I recently lost my driver's license..so naturally, I very much freaked out having to drive to places without a proper driver license in hand when I very much needed it on a daily basis for driving.I made an appointment at MVD Express online and thought the process went pretty smoothly. I didn't want a chance to stop by official DMV (I hate bureaucracy and it would bug/angry me so much to have to deal with wasted time/long wait line) and didn't want to have to wait when I got to MVD Express.Turned out my visit went very smoothly and efficiently! As soon as I walked in, Ramon was able to help me immediately (I actually didn't have to wait at all because there weren't many people in the shop). Ramon asked me a few questions and took a new photo for me (he even let me take a photo twice in case I didn't like the first one!). I thought the process went so well! I was in and out of the place in just 15 minutes! Super efficient!The downside would be the cost. It was around $80 net (vs $34 if you were to chance going to DMV and deal with bureaucracy). However, given the limited free blocks of time that I had, I thought the extra payment and the fact that I didn't have to deal with any headache/wasted time and inefficiencies was so worth it! I would definitely stop by this place again (but..best if I never lose my ID any time again soon though!).

Kind, knowledgeable staff with low wait times! Just walk in the building and head in through the first door on the left.Why go anywhere else?

So with the optimism of potential future travel, I decided to use some credit card points for a voucher for TSA pre-check. Super important note, they direct you to go to IdentGO and give an address when you confirm an appointment but upon arrival you will find that it is inside the MVD Express location which I wasn't prepared for but figured out pretty quickly. My appointment moved super fast and I love that they can now finger print you digitally instead of having to do so with ink. Parking spaces were a little tight but overall, no real complaints.

First time coming to this location but it was nice and efficient. Came in for TSA pre check (with an appointment) and was in and out in maybe 15 minutes. That includes check in, wait time, and the process.

It is a pleasure to get stuff done here. Staff are friendly, efficient and motivated. Especially Scott. Way to go guys! We will be back again next time. Thanks !!!

Expensive, rude and not all that Expressy!! With the appt system the NM DMV uses it takes less time and is way cheaper. The level of rude still kinda exists there but it is cheaper and faster. MVD Express is a joke with their revolving door of employees.

The representative seems to be adamant about ensuring I was not able to get a new license. The rep first objected to the name variation on my docs, then objected to a doc not being in color, both objections were overcome with input from a more senior rep. The rep further objected based on a partial match to a criminal record. All this was after waiting over 30 mins at this "express" location when the website said "no waiting". It was overall an unpleasant experience and they could not help with a common MVD process.

Star is friendly, efficient and extremely helpful. By far the BEST customer service agent I've ever had at an MVD Express. She really helped me and my mom out. Thank you so much Star!!!!
