We came in for two appointments, one of which was for a driver's license and the second for car registration. There were four employees working, and they still had customers sit in the lobby while they chatted, laughed, and walked around gossiping. Topics included the film All Dogs Go to Heaven, the restaurant Chilis, and braces as a teen. When they did end up helping customers, there was lots of cross talk unrelated to the tasks at hand/work.The associate helping us wouldn't accept a form given to us from another MVD location, so we needed to fill that out yet again. This location only has standing counters when the associate is working on your forms, so do not come to this location unless you can stand for long periods of time and can see above 4" (ie: this location will not be able to support wheelchair users).I'm not sure why there isn't a manager here to help support employees to keep on task and focus on their work. This business would likely benefit from some management oversight and training. Very unprofessional.

Neli is amazing! She helped me transfer a title and hooked me up with registration even when there was an issue she gave me the steps to fix the isssue. Very simple, professional and fast. Definitely should get a raise.

They do not ever answer their phone. Several times waiting on hold for 15 minutes plus. The service is ok when you actually go in. It would just be nice to be able to call and talk to someone to make sure you have what you need or they can provide the service you need before you go.

I went to the MVD Express at 10200 Menaul Blvd NE, Albuquerque, to get my child a Known Travel Number by submitting an application through IDEMIA (TSA Pre-Check). The representatives at this location were not helpful at all. I gave them a copy of my child's birth certificate and they would not accept the document because it stated on the top of the document "Certificate of Live Birth." The representative would not even call TSA to double check. They did call IDEMIA customer service and the representative on the phone apparently told them that document was not valid. I even brought up examples of Hawaiian birth certificates on my phone and they would still not accept the birth certificate even though the format was identical. After I left the MVD Express, I called the Hawaii Dept of Health, Vital Records, they stated that the document I described to them on the phone was in fact an official Hawaiian birth certificate. I immediately made an appointment at IDEMIA at a local Staples, We had absolutely no problem at all at that location and my child received the Known Traveler Number within a week. Long story short the representatives at the MVD Express working IDEMIA should be retrained and have examples of other state birth certificates on hand so this does not happen again in the future.
