MST Adventures

The booking experience was easy, and instructions to meet the day of super easy. The owner is an amazing human being. This tour is so well worth it! Not to mention seeing beautiful Albuquerque from a different perspective.

I had been wanting to do a Balloon Fiesta kayak/SUP trip for awhile now. Cody, and his wife Karen, were really knowledgeable throughout this SUP trip about anything paddleboarding, about the river, how the company came to be and its name (it's "just Mountain Standard Time"), etc. He has tours almost year round from snowshoeing/ brewery, mountain biking, birding, and photography tours. Because of traffic, we left the parking lot about 6:15 am and returned just after 11. The water levels were low, but the SUP's did just fine in most areas. The cost of the trip was definitely worth it. We had about 14 in our group. And since the tour was only running the first week of balloon fiesta, it sold out less than a week after being advertised and I didn't get a chance to ask others if they wanted to go as well (but it was totally fine solo and everyone was friendly and welcoming). I didn't want to get wet, so I didn't try standing up for a first timer, but I feel like this trip gave me more courage to try standing next time and trying something new. The highlight of the trip was being able to see a few balloons splash n'dash. Also, Cody and Karen arranged a nice little setup with a paddleboard balanced on two buckets with a tablecloth over for a little breakfast of mimosas, a fire for s'mores, assorted granola bars, and hot water in a thermos for hot chocolate and coffee while we waited and watched for the balloons. My son attended a full day mountain bike camp with MST. He loved every second of it and is already asking to attend their summer camp in June. Definitely excited to try some of the other adventures they offer.

I had a great time with these skilled guides/teachers paddle boarding on the river today. They were patient and made me feel comfortable. They provided appropriate feedback. They were knowledgeable on the route we took. The group size was good. Equipment was provided, including life vest. The trip was well organized. Thank you, MST!

Excellent day on the River. This was a great adventure for our guys trip. Cory picked us up at our AirBnB, which made it super convenient.

Most amazing, beautiful experience paddle boarding on the Rio Grande with MST Adventures, loved every moment!! Pure heaven on earth views and experience!! I got to see coyotes, birds a plenty and learn new techniques to navigate the river. MST thank you for sharing your knowledge and the experience highly recommended!!

We had a great experience in our tandem kayak down the Rio grande! They were easy to book, communicate and return. We will rent again!

Highly recommend this kayaking outfit. Corey was very helpful in setting us up with kayaks and rental equipment. Full of good advice and very flexible about picking up/dropping off the gear. I also think MST might be the only business in ABQ that rents out inflatable kayaks, which is what we needed. Thanks MST Adventures!

If you haven't went SUP on the Rio Grande with MST adventures then you don't know what your missing! It's great fun. Corey was a excellent instructor and I felt very safe with him and his crew. Thank you Corey for opening this amazing business of bringing so much happiness into so many people's lives and taking the time to teach people fun activities in and around ABQ that most people don't know anything about. The river is beautiful and peaceful !
