Mike's Jerky

This jerky is so good! I've never been to the store, but I started ordering it online because I was interested in the crispy style. My initial order was for the green chile and the teriyaki. I didn't realize the teriyaki wasn't the crispy kind until I received it. They do have it listed on the about our jerky section of the website, but I feel like there should be a bold disclaimer on the teriyaki page as it's the only one that's a thicker and chewier jerky. It was fine, but I won't order it again. For my most recent order I got three large bags of the green chile and it's so addicting (I'm actually eating it right now). I bought three because the shipping is pricey, but they were running a discount so I thought it made it worth it to buy a few bags. It would be great to see them offer free shipping over a certain price because it's hard to justify spending that much on jerky, but I try to make it so that I can buy in bulk to even it out. On my next order I think I'll need to try some more flavors, but I feel like the green chile will always bea. favorite.

Mike's Jerky is an all-beef jerky shop with solely in-house selections. They specialize in super thin-sliced jerky pieces that come with a variety of flavors divided in-store by heat level. Usually I don't enjoy very dry jerky, but because this is thin-sliced, there's a satisfying snap when you break off a piece and crunch when you bite into it. I'm converted. I've tried the lemon pepper, mild red chile, and teriyaki. The first two were delicious! The teriyaki used a thick-cut chewier, softer preparation. I liked the taste but not necessarily the consistency. If you are a jerky fan, go check them out! You'll enjoy them.

The jerky is excellent. It's thin and crispy with a nice beef flavor, not sweet or wet like convenience store jerky. Will def be reordering. Large selection. Mike was super helpful and let us sample a variety so we could try before we buy.

I recommended this place because they are F-in GOOD! What else can I say??The Chicago smoke is one of my favs and husband lives the chewy teriyaki!

The one star is representative of the poor customer service exhibited by an employee at Mikes Jerky. In the past, the jerkey is really good and these are the items purchased by the smaller bag. The Spicy jalapeño was really good and I wanted to get more. Driving to Mikes Jerkey and pulling up, I was ready to get additional bags to enjoy. Walking in and finding what I wanted, the clerk behind the counter picked out what I wanted. He then advised the bigger bag would save money with the purchase instead of purchasing a few small bags. I appreciated the help and advice and bought the big bag. Once home, I couldn't wait! I opened the bag to enjoy the jalapeño jerkey. It was stale, not as hot as the previous small bag and just tasted ..........bad! Maybe it was just that one piece.... Nope! A few samples from various locations within the bag were all equally dissatisfying and tasting like the rear end of a camel! I went to the website to contact them and see what could be done. On the website, it states they would return any product that was open, torn, or not to the liking of the purchaser. Splendid! I drove across town and arrived at mikes jerkey the next day and expressed what happened with the purchase. I showed my receipt and the clerk behind the counter was less that professional, much less nice! All said there's nothing he could do and I told him about what the website stated. "Not sure what to tell you but that's not my problem". NOT MY PROBLEM!!!!! Then he pointed down at a small sign in the showcase that said "no refunds, no exchanges". This is classic bait and switch! I would much rather buy local but with this, I will NOT be back and I WILL everyone about this! What a shame! Avoid this place! OH YEAH!!! The big bag was packaged June of last year! They just want to get rid of old inventory!!!

You can never go wrong with Mike's Jerky if you love a good healthy snack. It's good for you and made to perfection. Once you try this jerky you'll be hooked. They have a wide variety of flavors to choose from and it's easy to get your hands on online and in their store. Grab some for roadtrips, home and work. Great for gift baskets and stocking stuffers as well.My favorite of course is the green chile flavor. Followed by garlic salt and sriracha. You have to go in and find your favorite from the many flavors they sell. They've also been featured on the Travel Channels show, Delicious Destinations.Great family and employees. You won't be sad you tried it

I am completely disgusted and frustrated with the way Mikes does business! Today I bought jerky at the wine festival...1- they should inform customers that their teriyaki jerky looks nothing like the other beef jerky they sell...2- I used my debit card for my purchase and they forged my name... This is not good business practice!!! If you look at the second photo... You can clearly see that the teriyaki looks like shit nuggets, versus the jerky on the right! I have every intention of calling them tomorrow... But I cannot condone this kind of business! They will NOT get another dime from me!!

More flavors then you can shake a stick at. The flavors I choice were all good and a couple great but the guy helping me acted like he was doing me a favor. After I made my purchases he went to his car so maybe it was his break time. But, how would a customer know that?

One of the best and honest beef jerky around. It's made in house so I know there is no bullshit in the beef jerky. Also he has so many tasty flavors!! If you aren't sure which flavor you want, I suggest you go to his shop and ask for a sample. All of his flavors are awesome imho. legit!!!!

Perfect for me! Finding the right consistency in beef jerky can be hard! Mike's Jerky is that for me! Not too thin, not too thick, and flavor throughout each piece of beef! Rather from the store or a public event in the southwest, I have always had a great experience with the staff and their service! With so many flavors to choose from, I always get a chance to try something new. I like when establishments think outside of the box like this one!
