Mick's Chile Fix

My first visit to this charming restaurant. Lunchtime on October 15th. Greeted warmly, seated immediately even though it was fairly crowded. Friendly and attentive wait staff. I have to laugh at myself; I was expecting chili to be on the menu, but it's New Mexico style dishes with Chile. Lots of menu choices and prices are the low side. My dining companion ordered grilled cheese with extra butter and they did exactly that; I had the taco plate. 3 tacos (one each of chicken, carne asada, one of beef). Sides of refried beans and rice. Portions sizes are generous. This place certainly has a "family owned and run" feel to it.

Lunch service was super fast and friendly. The food was delicious and generously portioned. If I worked close by this would be a routine lunch stop for me.

Gigantic burrito, a little under seasoned. I find most New Mexico style Mexican food lacking seasoning and too reliant on the sauces

Loved this place!! First time here, and I would definitely come back. I had the combo plate, and everything was delicious. The green Chile sauce was spicy and yummy. The staff was phenomenally friendly!

I have heard great things about Mick's and their huge portions and I was not disappointed! I got the shocker which was delicious and definitely worth the price. My boyfriend got the summit which sounds delicious but I didn't think it would be the size of a party tray! For $12, that is a great price for such a large portion. The staff were so friendly and extremely patient when I couldn't figure out what I wanted to order. It's a cute local shop that is family owned and I highly recommend going there for your breakfast needs! Delicious, affordable, and friendly staff!

Great food, friendly service, and reasonable prices. The carne adovada breakfast was outstanding. A great experience, and I will definitely be back.

Unfortunately I didn't stay long enough to rate the food . However the service was very rude ! I we had party of 5, came in from Arizona and wanted to try this place. The lady who started to help us stated if my Starbucks coffee cup was empty , thinking she was joking because obviously it wasn't . She told us she CANT HAVE OUTSIDE DRINKS in there AND I TOLD ME to take them outside .?! I would have obliged, however the manner that she talked to me , her tone just set us all in a bad mood . So we walked out .. NEVER coming back again .

From the moment you walk in the door until you leave it feels like coming home. A warm welcome, wonderful suggestions on specials, to die for Chile, the perfect blend of heat and flavor, huge portions, affordable prices, you feel and taste the love.

The food here is always great and they give a good sized portion. Been coming here for years. Highly recommend all New Mexican food items.
