Michial M Emery Bear Canyon Trailhead

Great access point for the fantastic foothills trail network as well as trails up into the Sandias. I live nearby and hike up to Emery Trailhead, but note that it sometimes overflows with cars when a lot of folks are on vacation and it's a beautiful day. If you don't want to park in the bike lane and risk vandalism or a ticket, cruise one street south to Barranca Vista where one can park along the street.

This is a stunning trail in the foothills. It has made for fantastic hikes admiring both the mountains and the valley below. The trailhead is accessible by road or trail/sidewalk. There is a decently-sized parking lot, although during busy hours (after work, on the weekends) it's always full. Good signage and I appreciated the instructions regarding right of way for walkers, bikers, and horseback riders for those who may not know. You get a steady but easy elevation incline on this trail, and it's well-maintained making hiking enjoyable and not challenging. One of the best trails in this area, in my opinion.

This was amazing hike theres a butch of trails you can take when I was there the wether was grate i was hiking for maybe 3 hrs I never made it to the top I got lost witch sucked but fun I was surprised I only saw 5 people the whole time next time I got iam going to map it out before hand no gps signal and if the tram is running on the other side do that too
