I have been a client of MGR for about three years. My experience working with Melissa and Otis has been productive. When I need some questions answered or help with a submission, they have been there. They are easy to work with, seem to have my best interests in mind and are truly nice people.

I signed my daughter up in July. I did not hear from them for a month. When I did, I was told about a mall fashion show which she did. After that I submitted her headshots, resume, etc., as I was asked. No response except to remove their cell number from the resume. I promptly did that and sent it back. Well here it was NOVEMBER and she was still not on their website, which was supposedly how people would "see" her. I emailed asking what was going on, again no response. Finally at the END of November I received a response that I needed to call him, not that he would be calling me. I said I would no longer be in need of their "services" since I never received any, anyway. They accepted my resignation but when questioned about a partial refund, said " there are no refunds of the website an technology fee you are leaving the contract prematurely". This is after never even having my daughter on their website. Horrible, horrible company!! Many of the profiles that are on their website are messed up anyway, if you click on the thumbnail, the profile attached is for a different child. They charge this money and offer nothing. I believe we paid 200.00 and got nothing in return. Keep your money!! If I could rate them lower, I would. This is a scam.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!This is, by far, the WORST agency I have ever been associated with! When shopping around for agencies, I read the reviews; but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt ( as not everyone is going to have the same experience). Also, upon interviewing with them, they claimed they were Christians. Me being a Christian man, I was even happier to sign with them. As I experienced "working" with Otis; I quickly found out their reputation proceeded them, and were ABSOLUTELY right! In eight months, I didn't hear ONCE from Otis. I took it upon myself to give more info on myself, so Otis would know who he is working with and what I can do. He wrote me a short email saying, " save it for the audition!".In six months I, MYSELF, found 4 auditions; two that paid. In the ENTIRE time I was with MGR, Otis - nor anyone else, EVER sent me on an audition! As I found my own gigs, and interacted with other actors, I quickly found out how trashy their reputation is, all around Albuquerque! In my opinion, and experience, they live up to this reputation FULLY!They are far from being Christians. They are far from being professional; and decent. GO TO ANY AGENCY BEFORE EVEN CONSIDERING MGR!

MGR Talent Agency is very professional, supportive and current on industry protocol. My daughter has learned so much from them. As soon as we signed, they went to work finding the right opportunities for her. I highly recommend representation by this talent agency!

If I could leave a lower rating, I would. MGR is a scam agency, much like The Phoenix Agency used to be. I worked for Melissa and Otis and they were unorganized, unwilling to work with you unless they were paid, and completely unprofessional. Their business is structured by religion and they will force religious prayer when meeting with them. A REAL agency does NOT charge you for photos. A real agent will set you up with tests to be done to build a portfolio. Real agents only get paid when you do. That is how the industry works. Do NOT let these people lie to you. They will steal your money and leave you in the dust

My 3 boys have been with MGR for 9 months and have been sent on ZERO auditions. I've gotten my boys auditions, they haven't. I used one of the photographers that MGR recommended and later found out that MGR kept the $400 "deposit" that They collected from me. It's their take from the shoot, not a deposit for the photographer to hold my time slot like they stated. 50%???? And they have lied to me consistently in the few times I reached out to them including about the photographer's cost. They even told me that my son's photos were being submitted "right now" for a modeling job when they didn't even have pictures of him yet. This agency has given me and my kids the worst experience in the talent business. Way to kill a kid's dream. I should've known something was off when they didn't want to meet them or see photos before choosing to represent them.

Short version: they took $140 from me, then dropped me after 2 months, declining to refund me. Long version: I paid to be on their website, which is apparently how clients find their actors. After two months, in a politely-worded email, I questioned the lack of communication between us about a project I'd apparently just booked (they had not gotten back to me in over a week with its union status, title, location, pay rate, or shoot dates) and a lack of communication more generally (I'd gotten only one audition from them in two months, and for this I'd been given the incorrect title and no project information). Their reply to my query was to send me a termination notice, in which my name was among the many things misspelled. I do not mind no longer being represented by an agency which seems to have viewed the voicing of a concern about the very real lack of communication between us as grounds for termination. What I mind is that they continue to refuse to refund the $140 I paid, despite my having been with them for only 2 months of a 12-month contract. By a logic I can't fathom, they seem to think that if they keep my pictures up on their website (despite no longer representing me; clients can no longer go through them to book me, or to call me in for an audition) they do not owe me a refund.
