I have used house cleaning services many times throughout my life, and so far, I have been a happy customer for the most part. I work all day, and although I do most of my own house cleaning, doing a thorough job can be exhausting, so I thought to myself it was time to call the house cleaning company again. However, since I was unable to find the contact info to the last cleaning company (who I was very happy with), I decided to try Merry Maids of Albuquerque--oh boy, I wish I never had.The Merry Maids showed up on time which I appreciated. When they were done, they asked me if I wanted to do a walkthrough. We quickly found several places that they had skipped. When I pointed it out, one of the girls came to cleaned it.In one area of the living room, I had left a small part of the aloe plant on the floor to see if they would pick it up and clean prior to their arrival, at the walkthrough, it was still there, and there was dust behind the plant as well as under the small shelf next to it. I pointed that out, and the girl came and cleaned the area too. Both counters in the bathrooms had not been cleaned either, or the mirrors, nor had the tiles in the master bedroom shower. I pointed that out, and the girl came to clean it. At this point, I wondered to myself, did this people clean at all? Did I just throw money away for nothing, $321.47 to be exact? Weren't they supposed to sweep and mop the floor? After they left, I found more places, like the master bathroom floor had not been moped at all, nor had the stairs! The living room floor, kitchen floor, and the rest of the floor space, were not cleaned either, seriously, what the ...? The only area where I can see that they did something was vacuuming the bedroom floors. The business space downstairs also had several areas that had not been cleaned.I called four times and left three messages, but almost three days later, I have yet not received a call back, this is so unprofessional. All I get is generic text messages asking me what I thought of the service and for me to click on a link to rate their workers and service; the first time I rated them a tree star (too good rating if you ask me) due to the poor quality of the work, and the second time I rated them one star due to the unprofessional non-existing customer service.I do not appreciate being ripped off like this. I work long hours and barely sleep. I was looking forward to a clean house again, and now well...Two days later (today), my old cleaning companies business owner comes over to my place to look through my home and business (I live in a residential/commercial space), and she could not believe that the place was professionally cleaned two days ago. I told her I couldn't believe it either. I am so happy I found their contact info again! She pointed out several places that looked dirty, and she shook her head. I scheduled a cleaning with her company a week later after I had my home and business cleaned by a professional cleaning company! My place used to be a busy Airbnb and anyone who has run an Airbnb can perhaps relate that cleanliness is one of the most essential things a host can provide for their guests. During the Airbnb days, I did all the cleaning myself, so with this said, I do know what clean looks like. Although my place wasn't in the same shape it was in its Airbnb days when the Merry Maids came to my place, but it was still decent. After the Merry Maids were done, well, my place still looks like it did prior to the cleaning job lol! I am going to contact the Better Business Bureau and some other sources to leave a formal complaint about this company.

I rate the company merrymaid Negative - 5 I called merrymaids on 2/28/20 to inquire about a home cleaning job. I talked to Renee Olguin/Ofc mgr & without a visual/virtual tour of my home, she stated it would start at $220 & up.It entailed carpet cleaning of 12-13 stairs, landing & a small carpet strip. The 1rst floor upholstery cleaning included a couch-loveseat-recliner & ottoman. She asked for & placed a pending hold on my debit card for $249.19. Renee then scheduled Justin, a contracted carpet cleaner w/merrymaids, to come at 11am on the next day, 2/29/20. He called at 11:35 am & left a voicemail asking if I wanted to cancel the cleaning job. I immediately called him back, he picked up but was talking to someone in the background about wanting to go somewhere, while I said HELLO, HELLO! 3xs. I then hung up & called him again. He answered this time, & then asked me what merrymaids was charging me (I was speechless) & he then proceeded to tell me what he charged via his company. I was shocked & it felt like I was in the middle of a 2 company squabble, possibly. I didn't mention any prices, but stated I wasn't cancelling the cleaning job. I gave him my gate code and when he arrived, he was extremely rude, moved to leave 2 times & then his phone rang. He walked outside, came back in & started the job. I believe a picture speaks a zillion words. Please take a look at the attached photos. The carpet looked filthier & there were tears in the underlying couch fabric. Not only was Justin rude, angry & argumentive, but I felt extremely uncomfortable being alone in the house with him. I called my husband to come in. FYI, Justin didn't complete the job. He didn't clean our ottoman. I was still charged for it. And no receipt or statement was left with me. FYI- (I had to call Stanley Steamer to clean the mess left behind. Brandon & his team were professional & did an outstanding job with a team of 3.) Back to the merrymaids nightmare. I immediately took photos & made 4 videos of the mess left behind. I contacted Renee on Monday, early am on 3/2/20 & explained what happened with Justin. His rude, angry & argumentative attitude & that I still had dirty carpets & 50% of the couch cushions were dry, along with the uncleaned ottoman. Renee asked me to email the photos, videos & his voicemail, which I did. She said she would call me back after viewing. By 1pm, no word from Renee Olguin. I called twice & then my husband & I drove over to the merrymaids Ofc on Menaul. When I walked in, I introduced myself & Renee immediately said she had called me twice & emailed me twice. I showed her my phone & knew she didn't, but went along with her excuse. She also said she couldn't download the pics, video & voicemail. I checked. they were successfully sent. I asked if I could show her in the Ofc the photos, video & have her listen to Justin's voicemail asking if I wanted to cancel my cleaning appt. She said yes. After viewing, she agreed with my husband & I, that she would credit my Acct for the botched job. I then agreed that I would go along with the 2nd part of the cleaning job, the maids cleaning our home at $112.00 per hr, with the first job, a 2 hr minimum. Ashley & Malaika showed up the following day. It seemed that Malaika was more experienced & directed Ashley on what to do. When Ashley said "I forgot to bring my floor cleaning supplies." SHOCK! But, I took it in stride & walked to my Shark Wood Floor Steamer & said she could use it. I moved it to the kitchen, unwound the 18 foot cord & filled the tank with distilled water. I then went upstairs, but heard it hit my wood floors twice. Malaika, by the way is a fantastic cleaner. Upon investigation, Renee never credited my Acct, so I restricted the cleaning job to the first floor only. My bank was apprised of the situation & we blocked any further charges besides the 3/3/20 cleaning job. Malaika & Ashley left rapidly. They left my floor steamer on the floor with the cord laid out everywhere. I picked it up & tried to wind the cord up around the hooks. That's when I discovered the broken off hook, that 2 hrs previously was intact. Not one of the 2 merrymaids, Malaika or Ashley said anything to me. My ckg Acct was immediately debited & after 3/2/20 Renee no longer responded to our emails, texts or phone calls. We feel ripped off. It only takes 3 employees to ruin a company reputation. I never found my $200.00 Shark multi-cleaner part. I believe it was in someones pocket. They are an accredited company, with insurance. Communication, honesty & friendly customer service go a long way. In this case, merrymaids didn't honor their own mission statement by coming back in 24 hrs to do the job right. I haven't as of 4/8/20 received a receipt, itemized statement or a phone call from merrymaids re: my broken appliance. Avoid the headache. Rated: Stay away from this franchise company! Mona

Merry Maids generously gifts two free cleanings to cancer patients, which is how I came to use them. I've had one cleaning so far, with the next one coming up in a week. They sent three cleaners to work for one hour. Fast and efficient, my house was greatly improved after their visit. They dusted and vacuumed the living & dining rooms and the hall, cleaned the kitchen and both bathrooms (countertops, tub and shower, and floors). Great experience.

Save yourself the headache, time and money. There are other cleaning companies and local cleaning ladies that will do a much better job. They charged me $104 per hour for sub-par work. They had to come back the following day to dust because they missed so many spots. Thankfully they were very polite, however when I saw my bill for $286, I lost my mind. They arrived at 8:30, but did not start cleaning until 10 till 9. They sent me a text when they were done, at 11:30. They charged me for 3 hours of work! I'm sorry, but if you're in my home, (1200 sqft) for 3 hours, I better come home to a spotless house and no dust anywhere. They missed the floorboards, my shower floor, the dust on my beds headboard, the dust on the back of my couch, the bathroom vanity, and both tv stands in my room and living room (respectively). I even left them a tip as incentive to do a proper clean. Maybe if they charged $200 an hour, I'd have to do the dusting myself. I did not get what I paid for. End of story. These guys are a RIP OFF! No.Just, no.

We had Merry Maids come out for the first time this past Wednesday. I wasn't expecting too much other than taking some of the load off mine and my wife's back as we are trying to run our growing business and wanted to turn our Sunday's into family time versus spending the whole day cleaning. I was literally shocked at how clean our house was and how many areas they cleaned, and cleaned really well. I am extremely picky and spend way too much time cleaning than I probably need to, but these two ladies they sent cleaned areas of the house I never even try to get to. We have big wooden baseboards that are painted white. They wiped down the top of the baseboards throughout the entire house (all 3300 sq feet). I was feeling like I was going to have to repaint them someday but not anymore, they look brand new. They even pulled our night stands out and vacuumed behind them. This was such a good experience and such a good decision to call them. After this visit we went ahead and signed up for a year.

Albuquerque Merry Maids has horrible Customer Service. I called this morning to request a quote on house cleaning services. They sent a text in response to my call asking if the service was to be weekly/biweekly, which I responded to. Merry Maids subsequently responded, via text, asking for my email address so they can send me a form to fill out. They were unwilling to pick up the phone and simply respond to my call. I find this to be horribly unprofessional. Seems as thought they do not want more business. They will never get my business given this very sad and unprofessional response and interaction.

Very disappointed in this company. I've used them three times in the past with no problems. Two females came and were here for 10 minutes. My daughter asked that they sweep and mop and clean the bathroom. They said they couldn't clean because they saw a cockroach and spider. Bull! They just didn't want to work. This on the eleventh hour (Friday at 4 pm, 2 days before Christmas) the start of the holiday weekend. Recommended in the past but now I wouldn't recommend them for anything. Of course we will get a refund but how long will it take, who knows. If Merry Maids is a national company they should be made aware of their employees unprofessionalism.

I've been using Merry Maids for the past three years. The cleaning hasn't been the best but it's kept my house OK. In March of this year however, the two cleaners that they sent walked away with my husband's wedding ring and a set of AirPods when I contacted the business they said they must've nocked them while dusting and I should look on the floor. However, they were both kept in the bottom of my husband's bedside table which they had gone through to find it when I brought this to the attention of the owners they said oh well file a police report.I didn't have anyone come out for well over a month because I'm on a weekly schedule when I finally started having them again they sent out a new team of ladies however yesterday come to find out that when they were cleaning on Monday they helped themselves to over $200 of my husbands change that he keeps in a bank in the closet again the only response I received was, I guess you should file a police report. So my advice to anyone thinking to use Merry Maids is lock up in a safe or take with you anything that you think is of value because they'll go through your drawers they'll go through your closets and they'll take whatever they want and you'll have no recourse. DO NOT hire Merry Maids for any reason unless you just wanna lose your stuff.
