I went through a previous lawyer and mediator with no resolution and lots of $$ spent. My mediator sent me to Ms Baker after he was unable to get my ex to work with me. She is a no BS, to the point, knowledgable Attorney! She succesfully got me the schedule I wanted with my daughter and was incredibly understanding of my situation. I really felt like she was right there with me dealing with the stress and difficulties my ex tried to put in the way of getting anywhere in court. She knows the laws and she stood up for me when I was clueless! Although no court battle is cheap, I was able to make payments after the initial sum and it is well worth the outcome. Meredith and Gracie got me through my divorce with my sanity ! She has a great client handbook, she remembers so many details without even checking notes. Her paralegal is on top of things and always gave me advanced notice and reminders of deadlines and other events. Meredith is also very straight to the point. She would tell me things like "you can be upset about this the rest of today. Then you need to get it together" and my favorite "stop borrowing trouble." Sometimes I didn't want to do what she told me, but I did anyway, because I'm paying for her advice. A year later, I'm so happy I listened to her! First off I'd like to state that Meredith and her staff are very kind and thoughtful people. Meredith is extremely knowledgeable, professional and her staff is very personable, easy to understand and not to mention very responsive and will go the extra mile to make sure the lines of communication remain open . Initially I didn't understand how much these qualities were going to play a role in going through a custody case but, soon realized that these qualities are what kept me calm, assured of the situation and confident that things would be resolved; as they were.
