Mariscos Costa Azul

Went to Mariscos Costa Azul on the recommendation of a local. Was told they had great seafood. Not so my friends. Don't believe it.Nice interior and friendly staff. Home to the locals. Wifey had a shrimp kabob and other rice, fries and zucchini. Skewers were long, shrimp were small and zucchini was dry. Not a good choice. Started with chips and salsa. Chips were pretty banged up, but salsa was excellent. Fresh and hot. I went with the seafood platter. Was to have been shrimp, fish, scallops and octopus. Nixed the octopus for additional shrimp. 5 minutes after ordering was told out of scallops. Received a shrimp-fish stir fry with rice and avocado, and soft taco shells. Very disappointing. Sorry, can't recommend. Not a good experience for us. Would not return.

My friend suggested we try out this place and I'm glad we did! The place had tons of seating and the service was great. The food was amazing and when I'm back in town, I definitely will go back!

Friends invited us here for our first visit. Service was great. Ambience was typical Mexican restaurant, very clean with lots of bright colors, and so on. Food was good. The flan was beyond beyond beyond. Will definitely be back.

Here I go again Yelper's, in beautiful Santa Fe, New Mexico, checking out Marisci Costa Azul, great seafood and atmosphere is the plus. Had to brush up on my Spanish as most of the waitress only speak Spanish.It was recommended to me by the desk clerk at my hotel I'm staying at and he was on point with this one.I had the Pescado Fritio and it was good..make sure to come out and support this place. You won't be disappointed.

This was our first time trying Costa Azul, i'll start by saying the decor brought a big smile to my face with how colorful it is. The service was great, our waitress was friendly & attentive. Mom had the shrimp cocktail and while she appreciated that it was loaded with shrimp she was let down with the lack of flavor and spice. I had the fish tacos and I also was disappointed in them, they lacked flavor and the fish just didn't taste very good to me. I also didn't like that the fish was diced up like tiny potato's and kept falling out. The chips and green salsa were great, the pico had to many tomatoes and not enough jalapeños for our taste. I'm not sure that we will go back but I did enjoy trying out a restaurant that I had never been to before.

Do you like authentic Mexican food? Do you like seafood? This place kicks ass! High quality traditional Mexican food with huge portions at a reasonable price. Staff is very welcoming and friendly to all. The service is excellent and the food delicious.

Always good food here. I enjoy every visit. The staff is wonderful. The ambience is fair. The noise level is low. But most important the food is delicious. No matter what you order.

The food was ok but they took my wife's coffee enven tho she didn't finish it. They were even rushing us to eat even tho we wanted to at least a hour of Mother's Day the service was ok but they Didn't even offer more water or coffee Nice ambiance

Excellent food with a friendly not stuck up staff at a fair price! Finally a staff in Santa Fe that seem to love their work! We this place!

Small place with mostly locals, wonderful ambiance with festive decor. Service was excellent, our waitress didn't speak English so she sent one over that did. Fairly large menu, with both Spanish and English descriptions. Food was very good! We will be back the next time we stop in Santa Fe!
