The band turned up on time, and they played superbly.Mariachi Nuevo Sonido played at the celebration of my late wife's life for over 60 guests. The band was 6 players, as we had expected. They turned up on time, and played as much as we had wanted and expected. When they arrived, we gave them a list of my late wife's favs which they repeatedly played during the 2 1/2 hours of the event. My wife had asked in particular that there should be a mariachi band, and the event be set up as a happy fiesta, and not as a conventional memorial service. The whole band seamlessly adapted to this unusual request. The band was thoroughly professional. I was so pleased with the band that I tipped each member handsomely at the end of the event. Booking the band through GigSalad was straightforward, and the band even gave me a quote within the hour in the middle of the night!

Marvin from Mariachi Nuevo Sonido cancelled on us THEY DAY OF the wedding. JUST FOUR (4) HOURS BEFORE they were supposed to perform they cancelled! Marvin apparently decided to double booked a funeral that same morning and two of the members got "heat exhaustion" and got angry at him for double booking so they refused to play for the wedding. He did not have any replacements nor did he make an attempt to still perform someway, somehow for this very important day. Very unreliable and unprofessional!! Good luck depending on them to keep their promise to perform at your event! On the Google reviews, one of the reviews states that they cancelled on the day of their event too and I should have paid attention to this bad review and to the other bad reviews but I had choose to trust them which was a HUGE mistake! NEVER AGAIN! How selfish of his band members to decide because they are angry at Marvin for double booking that they should take it out on us and our important day. We made sure to let all of our guest know about this group and none of us could believe they canceled at the last minute. Never experienced such shadiness in my life! PLEASE TAKE SOME TIME TO READ THEIR BAD GOOGLE REVIEWS AND DO NOT JUST RELY ON THEIR REVIEWS ON THE BASH OR THEIR WEB PAGE THAT THEY CREATED AND ARE IN CONTROL OF.
