Horrible place to work. Also horrible place to take your loved ones. They where good at one point but after being there for 5 years it has really gone down hill. They need to clean house and get new management because the ones that are there are not in it for the right reasons anymore. Btw you and your clients would benefit more if you brought your day hab back.

Horses. Farm fresh eggs. Alpacas, baby goats, a curated garden and peaceful shaded patio, green, green acres. If I'm looking for a term to describe my visits to Mandy's Farm, I'm going with Idyllic. The property is true country livin' and from what I understand, that's exactly what this nonprofit that assists folks with developmental disabilities -- chiefly, those on the autism spectrum -- is going for. What an incredible organization. And when you think about it, of course, simplifying is the solution. Individuals on the spectrum tend, generally, to really struggle with the peripheral, what's going on around them, ambient noise and motion and shadow, and the urban everyday is absolutely clattering with these distractions. Mandy's Farm provides a permanent residence -- it's a home, first and foremost -- for people who need to take shelter from the storm. Residents learn to simply live, whether that's cooking or growing food or riding horses, the main facility includes a specially designed swimming pool for rehabilitation, the farm provides tactile experiences and interactions with nature. How friggin' genius, man. Essentially, the story goes that the farm was named after Mandy, her parents were concerned about what Mandy would do as she matured and they got older, if she might struggle to handle the busy world around her, and so they built this farm, and Mandy started her own little business, E is for Eggs (she loves Sesame Street), and the farm has grown to support many people, a job training program, and produce they sell to local growers markets. You can experience the idyllic by volunteering your time, any time of the year. Just contact them.

This amazing working farm is a residential facility that also runs day programs and employment services for individuals with developmental disabilities. Residents live meaningful, independent lives and work and volunteer both on the farm and in the community. The facility is beautiful, and the staff are friendly and supportive. Their horse riding program is open to any ability level, and there are NUMEROUS ways to participate and get involved. This is a worthwhile non-profit, and potential donors should feel reassured their gifts will have a lasting impact. I plan on becoming a regular volunteer after spending a morning here and seeing how great an organization Mandy's Farm is!

I volunteered at Mandy's Farm on their annual volunteer day and had such a great experience. They had quite a few different projects to work on: gardening, painting the barn, painting the pool deck, cleaning the gutters, cleaning the house, etc. I decided to work on the garden, and Jeb, the Volunteer Coordinator who is in charge of the garden, gave us all specific jobs. We were helping to prep the garden for planting so we could till the plots, use the weed wacker or pull weeds, and put compost on the plots. It's was hard work but so rewarding to help a great cause. I really enjoyed volunteering and recommend it to individuals or groups looking to help out in our community!

These people go above and beyond when it comes to the needs of those with disabilities. They do their very best to help those with disabilities gain the opportunity and experience having a job in the real world or at their farm. Their farm also allows for opportunities for those to experience new things.

Those is a horrible place to work and I advice people to their research before foing into this job. Not only do they give you no insight about the job you will be going into be for you go, they give you little to no traning when you actually get there. It takes months before you are fully trained. Admin drag their feet on everything unless you are apart of their favorite selected few. People are rude, demeaning unpleasant and unprofessional. The only way to get anywhere in this job is if you are related, married to higher admin or long term friends. They talk behind your back they drag staffs named through the mud and degrade them as much as possible. Now the clients. They are amazing you can have fun with them and be there for them don't don't you dare advocate anymore ... admin won't alow it. This job used to be great when staff where advocating..now nothing can get through to the teams with out admin and if does you get reprimanded in doing so. Then admin act as tho things never happend to teams.. and later try everything in their power to try and get you to Crack and leave underpressure or fire you.their values and everything the preach apon is no longer true I have seen this company be great to now just the same as all the other horrible companies that just leach off their clients. It is very rare the clients get new things alot of their in home furniture is passed down or bought used or cheaper then cheap, they get funds and don't use it for the right things just to save a few bucks here and there. they don't follow regulations set out for them only last minute scrambling to meet said regulations then when not met there's finger pointing and never owning up for their own failure. The houses are messy and not a clean healthy environment. The clients are not happy they are not getting out in the community enough like they used to the worst thing that happend was getting rid of their day hab experience they had to get out in the community and see other people that they build relationships with in stead admin got a big head once they got their new building and now it's used strictly for admin and not the clients. They lie to clients and staff about DDSD regulations and guidelines. I recommend that family's of the individuals out source for day hab/community integration because they are not getting it at mandys farm. Their are day Habs still open out there please enroll them there these clients so desperately need it....they are tired of doing the same thing every day with the same people....
