Maid O' Matic

Update: I am taking away a star for that response - yikes. I clearly said they came back and cleaned. But before the pictures were taken by they realtor I also did additional cleaning myself. Our house is deep cleaned every year so I don't understand why she thinks it would be so hard to clean it? I paid $500 to waste 2 days and to end up cleaning a lot myself. The "free" work was because they slacked off, rushed, and did not complete the job the first time. Original: I do not recommend unless you want to waste time and money. The whole experience was so disappointing . First, the timing: I was told that there was a 4 hour window, that they would be here from 8-12. They did not show until 2pm - after I called multiple times. Second, the quality of cleaning was awful. It hardly looked like it had been cleaned, let alone "deep cleaned". There were so many areas that were overlooked. The railings were not even dusted. And this was with 4 workers over 4 hours. Our place is not even 1,400 sqft so I'm not sure what they were doing during that time. This cost us $500. I am adding a star because after complaining- the supervisor/owner did come out and had them re-clean the house. However in hiring cleaners, I would like it to be done correctly the first time. Having to reach out, complain, send pictures, etc. was not worth it at all. Definitely wish we had gone with another company. We have used a couple in abq over the years and never has it been this bad.

Update: Wow! No company can get it right 100% of the time and I would never expect that when posting an honest and polite review me or my husband would be maligned. We did not expect our home to look brand new once the clean was finished but we did expect that with 16 hours of labor the baseboards would be clean, the light fixtures would be dusted, and there would not be any mold in the bathrooms. My husband (FYI he is my actual husband not "the person I refer to as my husband") chatted with the job supervisor over the phone several times with no-cussing. Neither of us were even angry....just disappointed with the job. We have no idea what she is talking about with regards to the job being re-scheduled 5 times. Now Teri is threatening legal action against us via private messages in Yelp. Super unprofessional!Original post: Super disappointed in the service we received. We purchased a new home in Albuquerque and were moving from out of state. We wanted to make sure that we did not have to spend days cleaning before we moved in so hired Maid O' Matic based on a recommendation from our realtor. The quote came in at over $1,200 including cleaning of the carpets that are on the second floor of our home. The prior home owners had cleaned the home before close so it was not a foreclosure or anything like that. We expected that for $1200 the house would be pretty spotless. We were told that we would get before and after pictures of the clean since we were out of state. The pictures never materialized even after several requests. We did however have before pictures from our inspections and final walk-through and we know that the difference was not significant. The good news was the kitchen. It was really well cleaned and especially the cupboards they did a great job on. The rest of the house was a different story. The baseboard were super dirty . I was able to clean some of the remaining dirt just using a rag and water. The windows which were supposed to be cleaned looked like they had not been touched. The bathrooms (to be fair to them I am sure there was years of hard water maintenance neglect from the prior owners) were not very clean either. We spent a hours on our own and were able to get them in better shape. When we called to complain they did send a few people back over for a few hours and at least addressed the baseboards....those looked a lot better after the second round. I gave the second star for their willingness to come back but I still can't help but feel like we were taken advantage of because we were out of state. We were hoping to be able to use them for bi-weekly cleans going forward but after this first experience just could not do it.

I requested a quote through Yelp, sent a follow up request but never received a reply or quote.

So....this business is NOT closed!!! in fact they're open and amazing. I'm am dumb-found that there are not more 4 and 5 star reviews of them on yelp...period. They're rated 4.5 on other social review sites...hence how I found them. So, after 9 weeks of dealing with wacky contractors, our home is finally ready for sale...and, thanks to Maid O'Matic, it's clean, clean Clean!!! They did an amazing job...inside and out! Out you ask? Yes, they spent a few hours outside, in our back area weeding...and it's looks amazing. They even had left the natural flowering weeds undisturbed only removed the bad weeds and grass. The home...well, where to start. They did a great job. From the dusting to the carpets, everything looks brand new! I actually enjoy cleaning...for me it's relaxing and I never think about work when I'm cleaning. However, having Maid O'Matic come out and professionally clean our home in preparation for sale, was a choice I'd make again and again. Patti and her team were all very respectful, warm and professional...and most importantly, they all gave a shit!!! Again, after dealing with 4 different contractors...two of which were exceptional and two that were a complete nightmare...Patti and her team made our final experience in getting our home ready for sale, completely Memorable!! Thank you Patti and thank you to your team!!! Everyone was great and we really appreciated the hard work everyone did at our home!!! Thank you!!!

Wow. This company is fantastic. They really came through for us in a last minute bind. We were moving into an apartment that was supposed to be cleaned. It was awful. They happened to have a cancellation and had people there within the hour. Teri was so helpful on the phone and even gave me tips (like pulling the filters out of the AC units), because if the place was left this bad, they likely didn't clean those either. She was spot on. The four cleaners were amazing. They didn't waste one second. They were very thorough and paid attention to everything I asked about. They made the place as clean as it could possibly be. They quoted me 2 hours and were done a little early. I was there, and they said they were finished with the inside and could easily do the outside windows. They wasted no time and cleaned those too. It would have been just as easy to clean a little slower and not add on new things, but they choose to keep cleaning, no dilly dallying. I've not seen service like this in awhile. Yexani, Joey, Aisae and Marlon were our cleaners. They were lovely and respectful, but most importantly-extremely efficient. We will continue to use their services.

In short, the service received initially didn't meet my satisfaction. I ended up paying about 75% more for the service than I thought I'd pay upon the telephone consultation, and even having done so was quite disheartened by the results I came home to, which weren't nearly up to my expectations for professional cleaners. So why the five stars, Wendy??Well, let me tell you... I don't think I've ever experienced the degree of extraordinary customer care that came directly (and I mean DIRECTLY) after that. In the middle of tapping out a scathing yelp review, I received a call from Tammy, the co-owner, asking how the service went. When I mentioned that I was dissatisfied, she asked me to elaborate on every detail and listened attentively to each grievance in my telling of events. With more graciousness than I could ever have expected, she asked that I permit her to come the next day to see the space and to give them another chance to get it sparkling. She was as disconcerted by what had happened - perhaps more so! - than I and was extremely eager to make things right.As promised, she came back the next day with the same crew and then some, and insisted not only on completing the tasks that were left unfinished, but also going above and beyond to bring sparkles to other corners that even I had forgotten about! Although I felt awkward discussing my dissatisfaction with the same crew there in front of us, they all were so gracious and polite and the crew leader even apologized kindly for their oversights the previous day. It really made me feel like a valuable customer whose concerns were validated. The end result was very pleasing, and left me with a great impression of the company.I will definitely give Maid O'Matic my business again, as it's obvious the owners really care about the service they're providing and the good faith of their customers.

We've been a MaidOMatic customers for 7+ years and love them. They are dependable, friendly and professional. If we weren't moving we would NEVER stop using their services. Highly recommend them!!!

Wonderful and professional company. They are very organized with a well-trained staff, including a list of exactly what they will be cleaning so that we could alter the priorities and add items that we wanted to have done. Couldn't be happier with the results.

Great a was quick response and service We rented someone's house for the hot air balloon fiesta and they cleaned their house to their standards but still wasn't clean enough to stay there for a week so I reached out asked if they could get it cleaner for us he showed up with the crew had it done in a few hours satisfied customer great job keep it up

This included ceilings, walls, tile floors and steam cleaning of carpet, mattress and furniture. This was an all-day job, from 8:30-5:30. There were two men and three women who came in with a mission! Their price was very reasonable. Tami arrived with her crew and walked throughout the house advising what needed to be done. Her staff was friendly and polite. The house looked fantastic when they left. Thank you for a great job!
