We rented a house for our lengthy stay in Albuquerque which meant we cooked our own meals most nights -- but we did want to dine at some of the better places in town during out visit -- so, we decided to dine at Los Poblanos twice, once for dinner and once for breakfast. Our dinner was outstanding. As a gin fanatic, I started with a cocktail featuring their signature house made gin. A tasty amuse bouche, along with the cocktail, awakened my palate and I was ready for more. Next up was a ceviche, enhanced with the Southwest flavors of cilantro and pickled green chile. For my entree I selected their braised lamb. It was tender and succulent. It too was accompanied by regional vegetables and spices. The selection of wine was top notch and their suggested pairings complemented the meal to a tee. And of course, we finished up with dessert and a fortified wine to wash it down. My wife ordered a dish featuring mushrooms grown by a local producer (NM Fungi). She was so impressed that she later looked up the grower and purchased a couple pounds of oyster mushrooms which we enjoyed in several homemade preparations over the next few weeks. I mention this because Los Poblanos uses as many locally produced products as they can -- whether from their own form, or other New Mexican enterprises. The lamb for my dish was locally sourced as well. A list of their many sources was included on the menu.Near the end of our stay, we returned for breakfast -- chilaquiles, eggs sunnyside side up, beans and seasoned smashed potatoes for me, and the egg white omelet for my wife. I can't say breakfast wowed me as much as our dinner, but it was one of the best breakfasts I've had in a restaurant over the last several years. And, as long as you are visiting for a meal, you better check out their farm shop as well. My wife found a number a lavender based products to purchase as souvenirs and gifts, and I grabbed a couple bottles of their gin along with a book about gin and gin cocktails.

Los Poblanos needs no introduction. This is an Albuquerque household staple and we often bring our out-of-town guests to dine here as well. Some tips: 1) Do make a reservation if you are looking to dine on a Friday/weekend and 2) if you are grabbing dinner, I recommend allotting extra time before your reservation to shop the farm store, grab a drink outside by the fire pit, and explore the grounds. If you're lucky, you may spot the resident peacock! You can't go wrong with anything on the Campo menu, but if we had to pick a favorite, we will always order a pasta. The menu rotates and pasta is made from scratch. Of recent memory, we ordered both the Peppercorn Lamb-Pappardelle and the Pumpkin Risotto and they were both delightful. Flavors, playful textures, everything was perfection. We are also avid leave-room-for-dessert people and let's just say not a crumb was left. Lavender concha? Yes. Churros and chocolate? Absolutely YES.This should be on everyone's list to visit at least once and I hope you enjoy as much as we do.

Was invited to a wedding that being held here. From airport shuttle, to our room being ready on time, and arranging our taxi pick up was all we could ask for. Beautiful gated private property brought me my fall/autumn vibe. Beautiful surroundings with cozy feel made our stay here feel like home.Just beautiful.

The breakfast was probably one of the most fresh breakfasts I have ever eaten. You can tell the ingredients are organic and fresh. Our server was Jake, and he was so kind and very knowledgeable about the menu. After breakfast, we went to the gift shop and purchased some of the local souvenirs from the historic farm. After shopping, we toured the rose gardens, which were absolutely beautiful and the perfect place for photos! You can tell they take care of the farm and provide a wonderful experience for locals and out of towners, like ourselves.

I have been coming here for many years. Immediately when you drive in, you're welcomed by the beauty of the magnificent and large trees that guide you down its path. Whether it be winter or summer the beauty of the trees are wonderful. Drive in find a spot and quietly walk towards the Inn or the Farm Shop. You might see Mouse (cat) wandering the property or hear the beautiful peacock on the property.Take a walk into the Farm Shop and be greeted by the magnificent scents of fresh bread, muffins, pastries and the delightful scents of coffee. If you're a lavender fan, you'll notice that as well. They have their own lavender products, alcohol options, jewelry, clothing, kitchen items, some amazing purses too. Pick up a loaf of the best nutty bread and a drink and go sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. If dinner/breakfast/lunch is what you're after, mosey on to Campo. Be sure to make a reservation if you want to sit inside or take a chance for an empty seat at the bar or sit outside in their courtyard. Drinks are wonderful, food is too. Enjoy the views of our beautiful mountains and fields of lavender. Want to stay the night, the nice folks at the Inn will be sure to help.Need a massage or a some down self time, schedule an appointment. The staff there are amazing and kind. Be sure to check out the geese or the alpacas on the property. Give Mouse a nice hello. Enjoy the scenery and the scents that surround you.

I can't give this a full rating as I didn't stay here as a guest. Instead, my party and I roamed the grounds as we waited for our table to be ready for brunch at Campo, the restaurant on the grounds. So in that sense, I can't give you a fully comprehensive review for Los Poblanos Historic Inn. However, as a casual visitor who had the opportunity to walk around for almost an hour and see the spaces perhaps not seen by those who don't have time to kill I liked the vibe of the space. The area is a nice oasis of life compared to the desert landscape found in most of New Mexico. It gives the same feelings as being in the Temecula Wine Valley in Southern California or Carmel without the ocean. The area is large and had a nice spa area which was tranquil to be in, even at the storefront part. They sold items utilizing their flora growing on the grounds like lavender soaps and lip balms. In front of that was a space where visitors could play bocce ball (probably for the husbands and boyfriends waiting for their girlfriends to finish their spa treatments). Walking further along the grounds you saw areas that could easily accommodate weddings and the receptions after. Large bundles of chiles hung in columns down building roofs. A small lake, perhaps even a billabong, stood on the grounds with tall grass. A giant silo no longer in use proudly displayed the name of this historic inn, and tangent to it was a beautifully decorated gift shop that would make Chip and Joanna Gaines think, "Did we design this?" If you visit, you have to try their lavender gin. Without hyperbole, perhaps one of the best tasting gins I've ever had and they make it in house AND let you sample it before you buy.The main reason we came here was to come eat at Campo and visit this area near the river and it was better than expected. The whole visit was a pleasant surprise and I was so happy to have come from far away to visit this place. If you're in New Mexico and want a similar experience I highly recommend visiting Los Poblanos Historic Inn & Organic Farm (whew, quite the mouthful). GET THE GIN!

If you live in or are visiting Albuquerque, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. The entire menu is uniquely crafted, making every dish a delightful experience. Our waiter, Don, did an outstanding job answering all our questions and offering spot-on recommendations.I was fortunate to go with a large group, which allowed me to sample a bit of everything. My favorite was the ribeye, cooked medium, with a perfect char on the outside and a tender pink center. The tamales were also finger-licking good, as were the pickled veggies appetizer and the refreshing sorbet for dessert. The service was incredible, and I can't recommend this place enough. I hope next time, I can stay there as well!I like to rate my places from 1 to 10. 1 through 3 - will never comeback 4 through 5.8 - will come back if someone I'm with wants to try the spot 5.9 though 7.0 -will come back 7.1 through 9.9 will make an effort to come back and I would recommend the spot10.0 is the best place! (Haven't had a 10 because there is always a better place out there. My rating for this place is 8.9 (Will you come back? Already answered this question in my review. No doubt) My Yelp rating is regarding the service, the experience and the quality of food or beverage.
