Los Poblanos Fields Open Space

This a great place to bird watch and get some exercise. There is no bathrooms or water on the trails so be prepared.

I really enjoy this outdoor open space. It is different from other open spaces in Albuquerque because it is surrounded by farms/agriculture instead of forest/trail for hiking. The walk is flat, so it is an easy walk to just enjoy your day...and if you are lucky, you get a beautiful view of sunset and geese flying over the fields, too.I also like that they have plenty dedicated parking spots...so parking is never a problem. The only thing though is just that in the summer/on a hot day....it can get real hot...and there is just not a lot of shades that you can hide from the sun. So, best time to go is not in the summer...and probably best in the early mornings or evenings.

This is one of my favorite places in ABQ. 2 miles around if you're running or waking. Peaceful. Nice area. Park at the church though, I caught some guy trying to get in to vehicles when I was parked in the dirt lot.

Simply awesome food, excellent atmosphere (outside seating), and the resident peacocks are show-offs.
