Our waitress was nice but forgetful, even though she wrote our order down. The wait for food gets longer every time we come. Also a few hours after we left I got very sick to my stomach. Coincidence? Maybe. It's a cool looking saloon. my suggestion is it's a great place to stop at the bar for a beer. Maybe bring a bucket of chicken or sandwiches before you leave ABQ.

Los Ojos was such a fantastic way to celebrate my sister's wedding informally. We had a large group of people come in with no warning, 5 kids and 7 adults are a lot to come in at lunchtime. They hadn't gotten too busy when we arrived, so we could talk to all the different servers and bartenders and order our food. Everyone enjoyed their food, and I appreciate that they have elk on the menu seasonally. Service was excellent, the atmosphere was fun, and we all enjoyed playing pool after eating. We'll be back.

Classic Old School bar with great service in a friendly atmosphere. Many things hanging on the walls for your viewing pleasure. Museum like in many ways. Food wise I tried the nachos and they were good.

If I could give this place a minus 5 I would. We were a party of four. We were seated and finally a waitress came over and took our drink order and an order for fried zucchini, while we checked out the menu. We ordered a Dr.Pepper, Coke, Iced tea , and a water. They arrived in tall glasses with ZERO ice. No straws. We had to ask for straws. She said they had no ice. We noticed people at the next table having margaritas and they had ice. I guess it was more important to give the alcoholic drinks ice! Room temperature sodas and ice tea which were like 90 degrees. Ugh! The zucchini came right away, and it was greasy, over fried 4 medium size pieces, 2 much smaller and clumps of deep fried batter with NO zucchini inside. We asked her if we could place our order, and she said she thought she had already taken it. We gave our order and she disappeared. We sat there and sat there and tables around us ate and had turned over with new customers that were eating, yet ours still had not come. I asked the waitress if she had forgotten to put our order in. She said it was in, but only 1 cook in the kitchen and he was swamped. Half the tables were empty by now. I went to the bar and asked for the manager. The bartender said it was her. I told her it was 1 hour and 19 minutes since we placed our food order. She asked what we ordered. I told her and she said that the loaded nachos were just being put up now with the rest of the order. At 1 hour and 26 minutes, our food still had not come. I put cash on the table for our drinks and the order of burned, greasy zucchini and the 4 of us got up and left. Their loss. This was beyond ridiculous. This is no way to run a restaurant. No ice, no service, no food!

So bummed...My daughter and I stopped in last night after some fishing and we first went into the bathroom to wash our hands, but the floor was flooded with water and it just reeked of urine and God knows what else... We were so disappointed. We walked back out into the restaurant to sit down at our table and it was extremely dirty... The waitress made no attempt to clean it... We unfortunately just walked out and left...Unfortunately When restaurants let themselves go like this... It's a direct reflection on the entire establishment. I can only imagine how the kitchen wouldn't be in any better shape... Not exactly comforting.

I'm writing this because of the person who said this place was racist. From what I saw during my visit, this place is definitely not racist. My husband and I are a mixed couple and we weren't treated any differently than anyone else. We saw a Hispanic and African American men dine together and they got their drinks and food in a timely manner and seemed to be having a good time. I've gotten bad service from time to time at various places, but racism isn't the first thing I think of. They could just be having an off day or who knows what else is going on in their lives? On to the food!My husband and I stopped here during the Jemez Mountain Trail Sale weekend. It was busy, so the service was a little slow, but understandable. All we had was two iced teas and a Reuben with fries to go. The sandwich was very good and the fries were hot. We weren't expecting anything fancy, so this was just right for us. We both loved the rustic and charming feel of the restaurant and would definitely return when we're in the area.

This place was an amusing stop on a hiking excursion. Many items on display from carved wood parrots, riffles, a piano, a toasty fireplace for warmth and more. The higher your gaze goes, the more dirt and dust bunnies so keep in mind this is an older and historic place, not a modern establishment. That being said, the tables and chairs have some established need for cleaning too. It's what makes me lean to three rather than four stars. I got the nachos which had a bit of a spice kick and very flavorful. I would definitely get them again. It was more than I could eat and big portions. The waitress was friendly and attentive. They're open all year except December 25.

Yesterday spent a nice day in the Jemez. Hiking a lot of nice trails weather was beautiful. Spent a good part of the day hiking. So on the way back home decided to stop for a bite to eat. As I usually do I stopped at Los Ojos when I'm in the Jemez, they always have good food and pretty good service. I was with a friend and we both had our dogs. As this is a pet friendly place, which I very much like we sat outside but, they said we could sit inside if we wanted which I also like. There was 4 tables that were occupied, and the waitress who was taking care of those tables didn't seem to have things together. We waited awhile before being greeted, given menus, never given any silverware or asked what we wanted to drink and take our order. Her attitude was not very pleasant either. When our food arrived, she never checked in on how everything was or if we wanted refills on our drinks. Then when it came to the check I asked her to split and separate the checks she split the amount in half between the full amount and put it on both checks. Food is was good as I got the mushroom burger with sautéed onions and fries.

I had a lovely lunch yesterday after a nice hike to the springs. It's great to be able to bring the dog. The ground beef tacos were tasty and both chiles were good but I preferred the red. Tasty fried mushrooms and my bf enjoyed his burger. Like some say there can be a longer wait but we're here in Jemez springs to enjoy ourselves right, just relax :)
