It's that time again... Saturday ABQ restaurant review. This time the lucky location was #losforasteros on Bridge Blvd in the Isleta section of the city, a very Mexican neighborhood. I was craving a burrito and asked a local who told me it's "the best section in the city for Mexican cuisine." With fresh ingredients, the asada burrito hit the spot!! And Mark also enjoyed his chimichanga. The melon Agua Fresca was refreshing and just was what we needed after four hours of exercise ! The meal was satisfying and delicious and our server was friendly., although the menu was a little hard to read - I would have loved to know what's in a California burrito, for example. Surprised this place doesn't have more reviews. We've tried to get here a couple of times, but they've been closed. There are no business hours posted so it's difficult to figure when they are open. They're open now so in we go. The menu is posted on the wall and fairly straight forward. I zero in on the tripitas & menudo and they get ordered as well as the combo plate #1 (beef taco & bean tostada) . The tripas were crispy & came street taco style. A little bit of salsa and they were ready to go. Menudo was excellent, not overly greasy, had great flavor and a lot of panza. The combination plate was equally excellent. The beef was shredded, instead of ground beef. Both the salsa & tomatillo sauce mirrored the entrees. The food here is done right and probably the best we've had since leaving Texas. If you like Mexican food you owe it to yourself to give this place a try. You can't miss it - it's a bright yellow & red building. We'll be back here frequently. BTW the hours are open at 8am 7 days a week. They close around 8pm except Sunday when they close at 3pm.

Y'all...This is a GEM! Seriously! I drive by the yellow and red building never thinking it's open...well IMAGINE my surprise when my wife suggested we try it! DANG! It's amazing. I wish I had the foresight to take pics of my pollo street tacos...but they were delicious! You'll just have to trust me on that! And then we ordered Asada Fries...OMGoodness! First of all it must weigh 5lbs!!! And they are the BEST I've had in a while! If you order these..you best be ready to share with your 'hood cuz there is sooooo much food! Seriously, two of ate this...and maybe got 1/4 of the way through! And I wanted to try their tostada! FIRE! Shrimp fajitas were "good"...not sure that will be a repeat order; however they were not greasy and that was a huge bonus!!I cannot wait to try their carne and pastor tacos next time! Please support LOCAL!!! And support this amazing gem in the Valley! You will NOT be disappointed! PS they have menudo; tripe; lengua...this! Is! The! Real! Deal!

The food was forgettable.The service was just under par, There was a question on some of the charges, and they told us that they just hadn't gotten around to making up a new menu, so the old charges in the menu that they used to service with was outdated and they had changed the prices of every item that we ordered so that the bill was at least. $10 higher than it should have been according to. Our calculations. Don't waste your time or money.And it's awfully difficult to get there with the road construction of this in front and it's certainly not worth it once you get there. Sorry, I wish there was something.I could say better about this place.But I don't think it's gonna be around very long with those business tactics.And the food is just Support so far and average.Nothing special about it.Nothing great tasting but I could taste.It was just a disappointment

Best tripita tacos in town. I've lived in ABQ for 10 years and searched high and low for decent tripa tacos. As long as they stay consistent they will have my business for years to come.Tripa tocas al
