Los Felix Mexican Restaurant

Food was solid. Service was alright. The Menu was completely off.So! This place needs a bit of an update. First, the Menu 100% needs to be updated. There's a sign on the door explaining what they have available and then inside they say the sign is wrong. The menu has specific hours listing breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but those are also inaccurate. Lunch and Dinner are available all day apparently.They got our order wrong. I ordered green. He ordered red. We got two red. No biggie - they gave us a side of red. 3 stars = OK. Nothing really to rave about. It's a bit confusing with what's available and what's not available especially since the menus are old and outdated along with the random paper sign on the door. It says it's Mexican food...but it felt more Tex Mex to me.If you want Authentic New Mexican food then be sure to check out El Modelo.

Stopped in for lunch for the first time. Three of the six lunch specials were not available. I got the chicken quesadilla, while huge it was pretty much flavorless So, not so great a stop.

I'd come across some reviews for this place and put Los Felix on my need to try list. So we decided to try it today. They're located in an old strip mall - we had to look hard to find them. Once we did it was easy to park and get inside. It was in between lunch and dinner so the store was empty. Grabbed a couple of seats, took a look at the menu and ordered the enchilada plate and quesadillas. Drinks and warm tortilla chips with salsa arrived. We ordered the Shredded Beef Enchiladas and Chicken Fajita Quesadilla. The enchiladas came out as rolled corn tortillas covered with cheese - not baked. More of a taco or flauta than enchiladas. The refried beans were probably the best I've had in quite awhile. The quesadilla was huge and flavorful. Surprisingly it came sans sour cream or guacamole. Something we would have expected as a side. For what we got it was a little overpriced. The service was non-existent. We were the only customers, yet our server never checked on us. Too bad, given its rating here I expected a lot more.

Authentic, scratch kitchen Mexican food. Starting with the great chips and salsa --- why is it so difficult to get great chips and salsa? --- to the beans and green chile sauce on my enchiladas, everything is done with care and is tasty.

We ordered take-out for two sopapillas, one shredded beef burrito, and a combination enchilada plate. I am not going to pretend that we are Mexican cuisine experts, but we didn't enjoy them as much. The sauce spilled in the bag pretty bad, and there was not enough rice and beans for two entrees. The sopapillas were relatively small as well. It wasn't a terrible experience, but I had better Mexican food and spent less money.

Tasty mexican food with friendly staff. We went at lunch time during the week and had the bistec ranchero and the dinner entree enchiladas. Everything was fresh and hot and tasted good. Definitely will be back to try even more from their expansive menu.

I've lived across the street from this place for four years and I'll be honest with you, dear readers, I've never known this place existed until it popped up on my Yelp page. I was surprised to see the wonderful ratings for a little place located next to a vape shop, but I'm always up for an adventure.Los Felix is a little dive restaurant tucked away in a strip mall but inside is hidden treasure in the form of warm chips and homemade guacamole, delicious carne asada, and BUÑUELOS (fried dough). I've been here several times in the last few weeks and I am always delightfully satisfied with the food. As I type this I'm finishing up an entire takeout box of chips and salsa by myself.I highly recommend checking out this place- my new favorite hidden gem.

Great prices, good flavors and nice staff. This place is a little hidden if you were just driving by but thanks to Yelp, I got to try this little gem.Theres a menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with different time periods. Came in for lunch and the staff allowed me to order from the dinner menu. The molcajete has good flavor and nice pieces of shrimp. I thought it was strange though that they put in rib eye in it, instead of carne asada. So that was new. Honestly I would prefer carne asada thin strips of beef in it.You can also order sopapillas for $.99! Not my thing but it seems popular in Albuquerque.

So glad we found this little family restaurant while on our short stay in ALBQ. I seldom buy steak at a restaurant because I can cook a nice steak on the BBQ at home but I saw the rib eye with shrimp on the menu and I just got a hankering for surf and turf. I'm often disappointed when ordering steak at a restaurant that isn't a steak house but boy was I surprised! When I took the first bite of this steak I was simply amazed at how tasty it was. It was a huge steak but I devoured every delicious bite. The shrimp was big and tasty too, and the sauce they were served in was really great! I made some incredible soft tacos with the beef, shrimp and the two awesome sauces provided with the Plato Felix.This is very much a family restaurant. Felix is the owner and the chef. His young daughter waited on our table and she was very friendly and fun. We could not ask for better service.When we find ourselves back in Albuquerque we will absolutely return here to try more dishes.

super good food. Freshly cooked chips and great salsa. Food was plenty and good. Just passing through but it is on our list to return .
