Los Cuates

Had not been in years, but the Smokey salsa and amazing calabacitas were fabulous. We went after a full day of outdoor activity and were well satiated. Our server really went out of his way to make sure we were satisfied. What a treat!

In the mood for an Indian Taco. Check Yelp, they're harder to find than I thought. Quite a few were closed today (Monday). The rest were tacos or Indian cuisine. (Hint: if Indian Tacos are on the menu add it on Yelp). We found Los Cuates. We are close to this location so here we are. Seated quickly and chip & salsa aren't far behind. Hmm salsa tastes different, still smokey but with some heat - nice. Indian taco ordered - nice flavor & hit the spot. Plus the Taco Plate - flavor was good and what we have come to expect. As usual large portions of good food = full with a lot left over.

First time in a while since I been to this particular location and maybe there is a reason. Our waitress took out order and it took about 30 minutes for our food. Took awhile for her to check on us and bring drink refills. As for particular way for check to be done since I'm using federal M&IE for work and yet she made it difficult and kept all on one ticket. Dropped off the ticket and didn't even check on us to get the cards and payment. It's not busy at this time of the evening (8:43pm) and yet no waitress to pick up the check. Slow service here. Be cautious. On the flip side food is always good!

I had picked up some friends and we originally wanted to go to the Golden pride, but found out it was closed. So it worked out because we ended up here.This location had plenty of parking and looked pretty large. I didn't see anything other than the entrance in the bar area which is where we sat, but it looked very so much of the West side location.We were greeted by our waiter. Instantly he was very attentive, and good at what he does, because he was the only waiter in the entire area. To start off I ordered a mimosa and was given the options of orange or peach, I picked the latter. I kind of regretted it, because a margarita was only $1 more. But, it didn't matter because I ended up drinking a margarita anyway, because my friend ordered the strawberry kiwi margarita but failed to tell him she wanted a sugar rim and for it to be frozen so she just gave it to me and it was delicious tbh.From my entrée typically get the same thing which is the taco platter comes with three tacos, rice and beans as always it was delicious. My friend got the grande breakfast burrito and ask for green chili on top. It was huge. She basically shared it with her boyfriend and they were both full. I guess my only complaint was, we didn't immediately get the sopapillas we had to ask for them and didn't get them until we were done eating. But not a big deal, tey were still delicious and I did not ruin our dining experience at all. Right before they came, I did order another drink, which was the cucumber jalapeño margarita and it was definitely made fresh by the bartender as I saw the chopped up pieces of veggies, in my drink for me to eat after drinking it. He did a great job because as we sat there, it got more and more packed in the bar area, and he waited that entire section by himself. Kudos to him!

Yummy margarita, chile rellenos hit the spot. Our waitress gave us a rice pudding on the house as well at the end of our meal. The salsa was not traditional salsa, but it was unique and flavorful.

One of the least expensive places I've eaten at, ever, for all of 2024. Friendly staff, clean interior. (Though the restaurant itself doesn't seem to be in the greatest of neighborhoods)More parking in the back of the restaurant-Chips and Salsa at the table - LOVE their house salsa, has a beautiful chipotle esq flavor to it. Appetizers (Taquitos De Guacamole & Green Chili Stew) seem to come in individual sizes, not something you would share with a table. Two appetizers and an entree and still less than $25; you're not going to find that anywhere else.

The food is always great although I only got 1 taco not 2. The Chimichanga was great. Lots of food! Mexican beer only but the Negro Modelo was tasty. Skip the Puna Colada. Too icy. Service was good considering how crowded the place was. Hockey on tv as we sat in the bar area

Really great service with a really great smile. Gabriel goes above and beyond! My son, Nick and I look forward to seeing him again.

Food was great.Waiter got my order wrong but, corrected it right away.Ambiance was great.

1. Salsa - was not traditional salsa. It was a spicy mole like salsa. You have to ask for their taco salsa to get the traditional salsa.2. Corn tortillas used for beef tacos are too thin. Each taco fell apart and the tacos were served cold. 3. Beef enchiladas had meatball sized chunks of meat and the enchilada sauce was cold.4. Carne asada was not cooked as requested (well done). It was served medium rare. 5. Prices were extremely inflated. Taco plates and enchilada plates should not cost $19. Especially when the food was served cold, not cooked as ordered, and lacking good flavor. The bill for 4 was $110 and we did not see any value that would warrant that cost.6. Men's bathroom was dirty and with graffiti. *On a positive note, the guacamole was good and the employees were friendly.
