Ok, we found the back way in to this park lol. We are on a road trip, so have been looking foe places for my Service Dog to get out and stretch. It's tucked back behind some baseball/ softball fields. There is a small.dog area (we had to walk through it to get to the big dog area. Don't worry there is a pass through) there were a number of friendly pups and people there for her to socialize with. There is no running water, so bring your own. This is why I had to dock a star. It was very clean, shady and a great place to run off some steam. There are also no people bathrooms, just 2 porta potties. (I'm not that adventurous lol) I saw some complaints of homeless people, there weren't any around the park and my mom and I felt just fine walking in and out of the area.

This is a review of the off-leash dog park area of the park. My boyfriend and I were traveling cross-country with our pup and needed an easy park right off the interstate to let our dog run around. This dog park fit the bill and was about a 2 minute drive once we took the exit. It's a decently sized park with a separate area for small dogs towards the back. I didn't see any faucets for running water (which is why I give it 4 stars instead of 5) but buckets are everywhere for people who bring their own water. Poop bags are available and I only saw a few pieces of poop around the park so I like to think most people clean up after themselves. There are lots of trees for shade and several benches for humans to sit and chat while the dogs run around. It's right next to a softball field, so that could be an issue when games are going on but did not affect us.All in all, I'm glad we stopped and I would definitely stop here again on another adventure!

We come to Los Altos for the dog park. I appreciate the ease of access right off the highway and large space for my dog to burn off all the energy of being pent up in a house all day. There are plenty of benches and tables, typically a handful of water bowls (please bring water for the pups!), and bags/trash cans.Separate areas for small dogs, if you need. And a huge space for the big pups that is dirt/bark with a little bit of grass and lots of shade trees.A solid pick for a dog park with I-40 convenience!

I would not even give this park one star! My 14 year old daughter played softball here this past Saturday. It was disgusting! Homeless camps set up everywhere. Needles on the ground and human feces. My daughter actually stepped in some human feces on the field. The restrooms are Horrible! How SAD. I can't believe the City of Albuquerque allows this and would put the safety of our children at risk! We will never play there again. GETO!!! NOT SAFE!!!

Great little dog park if you're just passing through and need to let your dog run. The big dog section has mostly bark on the ground but lots of trees and benches for the humans. The small dog section has grass and also lots of shade and one or two benches. The two sections back up to each other but each does have a separate entrance on the opposite side. Gets three stars only because there's a lot of homeless camping out right outside all over the park

Conveniently located dog park that had a good amount of dogs to play with (there were probably 10-15 others there when we went around 5:30 pm on a Saturday). The big dog area I not huge, but certainly large enough to toss a ball. There is another small dog area located past the big dog area. There are a lot of trees, so this would be a nice shady spot to go on a hot day. Other reviewers have commented on the homeless camped out by this park; we did see homeless and their belongings outside of the gated part of this park next to the highway and the parking lot, however there were so many other pet owners around that we surely felt safe. Overall, a great park to socialize with other pups and to get your pet exercise. The close view of the Sandias and the trees make it a pretty place to be, too!
