Lovely people! Lonnie and his wife Linda are such sweet people! My husband and I both had our wedding bands made here and we love them! Honest and trustworthy. Go check them out! They are in the Uptown area.

I'm out of school for a few weeks over the summer so my days are full of shopping adventures and errands. My boyfriend asked me to take two of his watches that had stopped ticking to get the batteries replaced. I didn't even know where to start-- honestly, I thought you got rid of them once their batteries stopped working. EEK! Anyway, I asked for suggestions on Facebook from my friend group and was recommended a shop in Hoffman Town Shopping Center but when I arrived it was closed so I hopped on Yelp and did a little research. After calling 3 stores for quotes, I decided to go with Lonnie's because of it's proximity to where I was (it's in Uptown) and it's good reviews. They changed the batteries out of the watches while I waited about 15 minutes. One of the people working there saw me eyeing the rings so she came over and let me try several on. I was able to learn about the family-owned business and see jewelers at work making custom pieces. Was definitely a gem hidden in a quiet neighborhood but I intend on returning next time I'm replacing a watch battery or looking for a custom piece.

If you have heirloom jewelry or inherited jewelry this is your spot. I would also recommend it if you're buying your first nice piece of jewelry. You'll learn so much more than going to one of the mall jewelers and the quality wi be noticeable. Also, your piece won't be seen on every other woman in town. It will be unique and exactly what you want. Get this, it's also usually cheaper than going to a box store. Really, it can't be compared. The size doesn't matter if the quality is poor. Period. Super knowledgeable and kind people who truly care about what they do. All the while creating stunning and unique jewelry. Could not recommend a place more highly.

I'm only giving one star because the option to give negative 100 stars is not available. Long story short, my wife took two watches in for battery replacement, both were working fine just needed new batteries. Was told it would take a week to replace them, which seemed weird but we trusted because they're the "experts". Finally got watches back (we had to call to find out they were done) and on top of having a long whit hair sticking out from under the case backing (gross), the illumination on my watch is no longer working. I called and was told it was probably a bad mother board(?) and to bring it back in for examination. I did this and was told it would be another week before I got an answer. A week goes by, no call, so I stopped in and spoke to the owner, Lonnie, who tried to explain to me that the bezel had been pushed on too hard and the illumination was broken. His recommendation to repair would cost as much or more than a new watch. When I tried to make the point that the watch was working before they "worked" on it (broke it) he just gave me a repetitive loop of B.S., shirking any responsibility for the damage and making it clear that the only way my watch was going to be right again was if I paid him more money. We took our watches here because we trusted that a business who advertises themselves as a Fine Jeweler would be able to quickly and professionally remedy a simple issue like battery replacement. Boy, were we ever wrong. There are tons of places in Albuquerque that offer battery replacement services, we unfortunately chose the most incompetent of the lot. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere for your jewelry needs, no one deserves to be robbed and lied to.

This jeweler is incredible! A custom (from scratch) engagement ring surpassed all of my expectations. Incredibly easy to communicate with. Very keen on customer suggestions. Awesome and friendly staff!! A+++
