When I was preparing to move in to Lobo Village, I called multiple times in advance to verify that I would be able to check in on the day I was arriving from Colorado. They verified my check-in day each time, so I was a bit upset when I arrived and they told me I wasn't cleared to move in on that day. I was an athlete at UNM, so after speaking to my coach, who then called Lobo Village (they have agreements with athletics. If I weren't an athlete, they would not have let me move in), they finally gave me my keys. If I weren't an athlete, I would have had to find a hotel because I drove from Colorado to move in that day. Less than an hour into moving in, maintenance came by my apartment to change the locks (not sure why), and they told me I needed to go back up to the front desk to get my new key. When I got up there, they informed me that I had the wrong key for my apartment, and said they couldn't give me the new key without the correct old one. Reminder: they gave me the original key less than an hour before. They wouldn't let me speak with the employee who checked me in and gave me the key, so I had to wait for her to sneak out of the back office to speak to her to verify that she had JUST given me that key. She was reluctant to admit that she had given me the key, and was clearly annoyed that she had to fix the problem she created. They were very disrespectful and clearly had no desire to help me fix this problem. A few weeks later, I was home in Colorado for 10 days before the school year started. I got a call from Lobo Village saying that my lease was ending, and they were asking me why all of my belongings were still in the room. They said if I didn't remove all of my belongings within 24 hours, they would remove it and throw it all away. Literally all of my belongings. Not to mention I had signed a year-long lease. When I called to figure out what was going on, they said they were moving me to a new apartment before the school year started. They were literally going to move me out of my apartment and into another one for no reason. Once again, I had to have someone in athletics call them and tell them that I needed to live with my teammates and that I couldn't be moved. If it weren't for me being an athlete they literally would have thrown my belongings away for no reason. I could go on with examples of terrible encounters with Lobo Village employees for pages and pages. The management at Lobo Village is truly awful. They are unorganized, bad communicators, and above all they are straight up MEAN to people living there and have ZERO desire to provide assistance. Do not live here. Seriously the worst living experience I've ever had.

They only care about getting people into rooms with little to no regard for actually cleaning the rooms or fixing anything. Their own policy on their website says that they don't assign new room mates to people that have pets but they ignore that because, of course, money. And it wasn't until some one threatened to start a rent strike that they actually started to give 24 hr notice of entry to the units (which is legally required). They used to just barge in anytime they wanted. I've had $5000 of my property stolen while living at this place and they didn't seem to even think about making it more secure. Not to mention unless you have a car, good luck getting anywhere on the weekends because public transit nearby is unreliable. Not within walking distance of anything. I could keep going. Places like this that take advantage of young students should be illegal and the greedy people that run it deserve the worst of life and more.

I loved living at Lobo Village. Their amenities are great and the customer service is amazing. The staff always seems to be well-trained and organized. The only reason Lobo Village has not been my favorite was due to the size of the rooms. They are a bit small and the bathrooms don't lock. I would definitely recommend this to students who are looking to make new connections within the UNM community.

Seems like they deleted my review on google.I wish I could give less. Almost every time I call the office the student staff never knows the answers and "has to ask a manager". I usually never minded because I would get transferred to Aysa and she helped alot. But now they are saying she no longer works there? Whoever Nathaniel is, is unknowledgeable. I also went in and spoke with the Leasing agent I believe her name is Jessy and she smelt of alcohol??? She also always lounges on the furniture lobby, how LAZY and unprofessional!!!! I will attach the photo I have.!!!! WHAT KIND OF PEOPLE DO YOU HAVE RUNNING THIS PLACE??? I will make sure all of my friends write negative reviews with their experiences as well.

Asya needs an attitude adjustment. Worst customer service I have dealt with at Lobo Village. Her rude behavior reflects poorly on the ACC company and the whole Lobo Village staff. As the assistant general manager, you would expect her to be knowledgeable and helpful. Instead, she is condescending and covers it with a fake squeaky "customer service" voice.

I live in California currently but I'm planning on moving to UNM to pursue my masters. I'm looking to move to Lobo Village and I wanted to shout out Tim because he's been very helpful in the process. He gave me a virtual tour of the property and told me about all of the amenities that come alongside and I'm excited for the move.

I wish I could give this place a negative amount of stars. 1. There were at least two shootings that occurred on the property while I was living there, happening within a week of each other. My friend has a bullet hole in her trunk. 2. Lobo Village doesn't care about the students that live there, they only care about money. They have the audacity to send you an email on the day that rent is due that your rent is late, even after you just dropped your check off a few hours before. This happened several times to me. But they won't bother to email residents about safety issues until 3-4 days after an incident had occurred. I had paid all of my rent and utility bills on time only for them to slap a mysterious $100 bill on my account at the end of my lease for previous month's utilities that they claimed had been supposedly unpaid. They were very short and irritated with me when I asked for clarification on this unusually high utility bill that came out of no where.3. The students who work there are uninformed of Lobo V's own policies and what's going on. Even the managers are not all on the same page and don't all understand the policies of the company they work for. You can't get a straight answer from anyone, and everyone's answer is different. Staff is difficult to work with and extremely condescending when you bring an issue to their attention. 4. Misc- they continued to put some other student's mail in our mail box for the entire year, even after we returned it and would let the front desk know several times that the student didn't live there anymore- we had never even heard of him. We would request maintenance and more than half the time they would never show up to fix what we needed to be fixed. We had issues with a roommate that they did not take seriously whatsoever. Believe me, I could go on and on about how terrible this place was to live. Highly unprofessional, confusing, frustrating, and scary experiences all around. Students, don't move here. Parents, don't send your kids here.

Genuinely one of the worst experiences you could think of, the gym is awful and disgusting, the pool is literally never open, I've had multiple packages misplaced by the kids working the mail room, maintenance requests are barely ever taken care of and when they need to enter your room there is no heads up and you will be woken by constant door slamming. The management is terrible and unorganized always, as they constantly lie and cover things up to protect themselves. The first day I moved in the room was completely trashed and the freshly painted walls didn't have a sign or anything and ruined my clothes. This was after they told me it was cleaned and ready for me to move in. So all together I had a miserable experience here with no help from the management. Do not recommend.

While the amenities and the campus are fairly nice, this place is a joke. The management of the facility was a train wreck. I had called weeks before I needed to move in and was told that I could move in at any time and my room would be ready. On my drive down from NY, they told me there were no rooms available for me to move into, even when I had taken over someone else's lease prior to leaving. Additionally, they only allow move ins on Fridays, so being told I could move in "anytime", including on the day I got into town, was another lie... I was never notified that I had utilities due, but expected to know when to pay them. When it came to paying that or even my rent when I got there, I was told by several people at the office that cash and card were fine. However the don't take cash and you can only pay card online with a fee.If you're going to tell me that it takes 5 days to turn my unit, I expect it to be thoroughly cleaned. But expect to have to clean a bit when you get there. I've been more comfortable on a yoga mat and a sleeping bag on rocky ground than I was sleeping on that mattress. I can sleep anywhere and be fine but those beds left me sore than any workout I've ever done. It seemed like nobody was on the same page. I have never done business with any company that was this clueless. While pleasant to talk to, just completely clueless. Avoid the headache. Avoid the back ache. Save your money. Go somewhere else.
