This was by far the worst event that has ever occurred in the city of Albuquerque, NM. What a sham!It took 45-60 minutes for people to enter the zoo - an embarrassingly inefficient process for a very manageable number of people. A minor inconvenience we thought, but at least we can quench our thirst once we arrive. After receiving our stamp, I was shocked to see that they provided us a 3 ounce mug for the beer samples. It was a grim warning of what was to come. People sardined themselves into 15 minute lines only to be poured a thimble of beer. Well, that sucks, at least we can buy a 12 oz serving of the barely mouth coating sample of beer. No sir, you have to go to the "main bar" to actually buy a real beer. The main bar's line spanned 100 yards, and for those that were blessed with Ghandi-like patience, you had only 2 choices of beer. What a joke for a beer festival. In closing, if you like long lines, thimbles of beer, and poorly run events, this is the event for you! Otherwise, I HIGHLY recommend you stay away from this event next year. Donate to the charity directly - I'll gladly pay $100 next year to NOT have to attend.

There is no way to describe this event as anything else but horrible. The organizers either don't drink beer and have never heard of it, or have no conscience. Because that level of collective stupidity cannot exist for people that presumably walk erect. They may as well have had the lions and tigers organize the event, but they were nowhere to be found either. Waiting in line for an hour to get into a 3-hour event that consists of more 15-minute lines leading to a fraction of a sip of beer, is not an event. It's a joke. A waste for the patrons, and a waste for the poor event workers who had to pour the beer and do it with a straight face. They poured so little beer in our "mugs", that they actually had to concentrate to make sure they didn't over pour. The sample volume would not have filled a syringe. It's amazing that the crowd was as civil as they were about this debacle. It's great that the proceeds went to the BioPark, but you don't have to steal from the attendees in the process. We gave them $25 and they gave us a complete waste of a Saturday evening.
