Lil Mamma's is our new favorite restaurant in the area. The carne adovada was delicious and the fried chicken sandwich was huge. My daughter got the pancakes for dinner and it was delicious. Can't wait to go back.

Great food and service. Has vegetarian options too. Lots to choose from and all was good. Very reasonably priced too. Would have given them 4 stars but for some pesky flies and twice in a row they were out of chocolate milkshakes (even though we called in advance and asked specifically if they had them available) I do recommend them though and will eat there again when next I am in Edgewood. Hopefully they'll have the chocolate milkshakes again!

Cashier was great! Very friendly and got my order right despite having a hard time hearing me.Unfortunately, that order got messed up when it went to the kitchen. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and SOMEHOW, I ended up with a chili cheeseburger instead. What???Mind you, the restaurant was not at all busy.VERY disappointed with my experience tonight. Unfortunately, this is not my first time having an issue with the kitchen messing up an order. I don't think I'll be coming back until the cooks start taking their jobs more seriously. How do you mistake a bacon cheeseburger for a chili cheeseburger?

My parents and I knew the original owner of Katrina's East Mountain Grill from the time back in the 90s when she had a great little restaurant up in Galisteo. She and her family sold the restaurant in Edgewood a number of years back and moved to Florida where my parents had just come from. The new owners tried to carry on, but after the plandemic they gave up I guess. When I noticed that Katrina's East Mountain Grill had changed owners and names again (to Lil' Mamma's), almost at the same time a couple of friends recommended I try it out with them... I got their chicken fried chicken plate... it was great, so tender I could cut it with a fork, like it is supposed to be... a large portion so big I had to take some home, and their hash browns and fried potatoes (aka papitas) were also excellent. You have to go to ABQ to get better and there's only one place there that does it better, but that's a close race.. and you have to drive 40 miles to get it... Then I noticed they had waffles on the menu, Belgian waffles.... Next time I went I brought my own little container of real maple syrup and had the waffle plate with their real butter.... They were even willing to cook my waffle a little longer in the waffle iron to make it slightly more crispy like my mom used to make... The bacon is also good. A different time I had the chicken fried steak too and it is just as good as the chicken. I also tried their carne adovada burrito and it was excellent as well and their red and green chiles are very good too! I finally did get my chocolate milk shake made with chocolate ice cream so had to give 5 stars.... I would have given more stars if I could. The service was good and I never ran out of ice tea.To sum everything up - Lil' Momma's has the only Belgian waffles on the east side of the mountains and you can get all day long. Their chicken fried chicken and steak is amongst the best in the ABQ area. And their milk shakes are the best (and really only real) ones in the East Mountains. My recommendation is, "Try it You'll Like it".

The service was great, the food was great except for too much salt. People with BP just can't eat that much salt in seasoning w/o problems. But that's fine, I'll know next time to mention no seasoning on fries. Other than that it was good. Thanks for a great menu!! J.Walsh

What can you say about a chile relleno that tastes like a bland bell pepper stuffed with cheap cheese in a fried hard shell of batter with what looks like cracker crumbs mixed into it? Tacos that are a shell with a spoonful of beef inside and the "trimmings (lettuce and tomato are on the side for you to assemble. No cheese. Beans with little taste and rice that is good enough and suspected to be Rice a Roni? Don't know if this was an off day and I don't care. I will take my hard earned dining out bucks somewhere else. I wish them luck and continued good reviews on their good days. This was not one of them. Just so you know, drinks do NOT include water. Unless you pay a buck for a bottle of it. If you can't even do good salsa to go with the surprisingly good chips (score one!) you aren't trying very hard. I deeply resent being told to give good reviews to lousy food because we "need to support our locals". Nooooo. Our locals need to work for that support and choose their cooks and the food they serve wisely.
