We live not too far from Leroy's and have driven past more times than I can count, but we had never eaten there until recently. You gotta love a place that serves sopaipillas with breakfast, and Leroy's doesn't disappoint. I had the basic breakfast plate - juicy sausage, perfectly cooked eggs, papas so thinly sliced that they were almost like potato chips, and fresh, hot sopaipillas. My husband had the huevos rancheros with red chile; it was mild enough that I enjoyed the bite I had and the flavors were excellent. Plus you get chips and salsa, even with breakfast! The servers and staff were all really friendly. You can see that Leroy's is a favorite stop, especially on the weekends, and I'm sure we'll be back.

Was recommended for this place for a good New Mexican breakfast. My husband ordered the huevos rancheros and I ordered the hand held breakfast burrito and a sopapilla. Both were really really good! The tortilla for the burrito was thick which is different from the way they come in North Carolina but I really liked it. To start the meal out they brought out chips and salsa. With the burrito you can order red or green chile and I got the green chile on the side. The chile was good. Not too spicy and had meat in it, I'm still getting used to red and green chile but it was very good and flavorful. The burrito was huge! I wish I would have gotten a picture of it but I wasn't able to but I was so hungry I couldn't wait. I would go back here if I were to visit again. Not an over fully large menu but they are really good at what they do serve. The atmosphere is like a small family business. Not much decor and not much space but somehow it feels welcoming. The service was very good. It was fast and friendly and overall a good time!

First time to Leroy's this year. I have been back another time since. Cute lil spot nestled in the S. Valley. The parking lot is small, and it packed both times we came. So come early if you can.The food is New Mexican of course. It has a very cozy homemade look and taste to it. I had the carne adovada breakfast plate with papas and eggs. It was delicious! The papas were cut thinly and were crunchy and soft in all the right places. The red chile could have been hotter for me, but none the less tasty. If a full plate is not enough for you, don't fret. You also get sopas and chips and salsa to tend to your appetite. Where the chile lacked in heat, their salsa does not! Be careful not to scorch your mouth before all your fresh n hot food comes out! LOL The service can lack a little but the food and the friendliness make up for it. With a place as wildly popular by the locals, you can expect to wait a bit. I'm told I should try the Navajo Taco on my next visit. So perhaps I'll be back with an updated review on that for you guys! Talk to you soon!

This is one of my favorite New Mexican restaurants in Albuquerque. It gives the authentic feel of a New Mexican family home. The majority of the staff is family which makes the experience that much better. I ordered the combination plate with green chili and sub an extra enchilada for the tamale. The green chili is unlike other New Mexican restaurants, they put long strips of green chili instead of chopping it down. They give complementary chips and salsa which is also a nice touch. It is a hole in the wall you wouldn't really see unless you look hard enough but I highly recommend this place the food is great and service is too. Such a family friendly environment they make you feel like you are apart of the family.

I love Leroy's! I was so sad since they closed for awhile during the COVID pandemic, but they are now back! They are open with a patio, takeout, indoor decreased capacity dining, extended hours, and super clean facilities!I have never had a bad experience at Leroy's! Staff is always pretty nice, food is delicious, the green chile is amazing, and the salsa is hot!Leroy's can provide you with an amazing breakfast burrito, yummy tamales, and fresh homemade tortillas!!!Feeling like you want something simple? Get a bean burrito with green! They have specials everyday!! Ham and eggs Monday, Taco Tuesday, the list goes on!!If you haven't been to Leroy's you are missing out!! Give them a try! You won't be disappointed!!!

I was visiting family in Albuquerque and my Mom said let's go to breakfast at this place she likes. I had never been there so I said sure! The woman seating people and waitressing was very friendly and made us feel welcome the whole time, almost feels like you're visiting family! The menu has quite a bit, but we wanted breakfast so that's what we ordered. I got the huevos rancheros on corn tortilla with red and green chile and sopapillas on the side. The food was delicious, also had home fried potatoes and beans. Then after had a pancake. Everything was so delicious and we loved how nice we were treated! It was a small place and people were constantly coming in, and it was the middle of the week. I would recommend and return!

This place deserves a 5 star average and I'm disappointed in our local community for allowing it to reach 4. Leroys and places like it are family owned local New Mexican fare, that have paid taxes and serviced out community for decades. They have been impacted by covid and Grishams economic policies in the worst ways and people want to gripe about things they CANT control like inflation all, rising prices, under staffing. Be a little more supportive people. This is why us local people LOATHE you gentrifiers. You come and erase our centuries long established culture and then you bring in all your expensive yuppie start up and raise rents, and vote for negligent politicians and your major complaint: Those hispanic people charge too much for avocados Quite frankly, this is what's wrong with our town and the way that these small businesses like Leroys are treated is tantamount to an essay on the effects of gentrification. Try having a little more respect for our gente. You came here to get away from where u came from, so stop trying to make our home look like yours. We are Hspano, we speak spanglish, the air smells like green chile and if you want California style with avocados be prepared to pay a little more because we are NOT in California. Leroys is consistent. They have fantastic chile, particularly the red. They are a Barrio restaurant. This is old school authentic new mexico. This isn't Sadie's. Tailored for the balloon festival experience, this is how we actually eat and live. If you don't like it, maybe go to San Francisco next time.

Ordered food for a patient of mine, her favorite place has always been Leroy's. She is a Dr currently battling cancer and resides in Rio Rancho, once I get to her residence and proceed to serve her the meal, she noticed it was not what was ordered. I called them to let them know and they offered a quarter of the meal back, which is unacceptable especially when I ordered it specifically to be made in her request. Upon the response given this is my boss's response to her order and how they handled replacing her meal.Signed :Dr. Sanchez
