Seems like this used to be called the Route 66 RV and mobile home park
More of the RV park
Very cold and beautiful in winter! The area just had a blizzard so there's a LOT of snow! Driveway up to office was very icy.
The weather in Oct is very pleasant; I wore a tshirt and shorts to hike through here. Then it started raining about two hours after this!

Leisure Mountain RV Park.On-line reservation is through a form on their website, you wait for an email reply to confirm your reservation. In my case it took about 24 hours. Check-in was easy, but the gal at the desk was chatting with someone on the phone the whole time. My main complaint is this: when you are waiting on a customer, pay attention to them and not someone on the phone. Customer service is important. The building has bathrooms with showers, also there is a laundry room that we did not use so I don't know their condition. The restrooms/shower rooms are not heated at this time, expect COLD in those. The showers are a little rough or rustic as you can imagine they are at an RV park. There is a sign that advises the user to keep the area clean and neat as these are a courtesy, not a requirement. There was also a sign advising that PETS ARE NOT PERMITTED. One other thing I note, the toilets are very short, the shortest I've seen, and the seats were loose to boot.Weekly rate was a little over 230 bucks. There are full hook-ups, sewer, electrical and water. They advertise WIFI, but it never showed up on any of my devices. Luckily, we carry a WIFI device with us or we would have had no internet. No picnic tables. We were all the way at the back of the park at the top of the hill, the sewer has a vent near the spot we were assigned and it wafts a miasma about the area that is unmistakably foul, which was a irritation. The roads need grading, the rain causes ruts, meaning the road is rough. There are many long-term residents here, some with dogs that are walked without a leash. I noted several piles of dog poop that had been left for someone else to pick up. I carry poop bags with me so I picked up after my dog, as well as someone else's dog too. After spending a week here, I concluded that next time through the area I'll look for an alternate RV park.

This place is an absolute dump. If you're in a jam on the road and need a place to crash it can work. But don't expect much. The site we were in had dirty power wreaking havoc with AC units. It is not well maintained at all and right next to a trailer park that's a complete eye sore. There is junk everywhere with very old RVs that people live in. The sites are very, very close. They don't even mow the small patches of weeds between sites. If you have pets there is no place to walk them. The weeds are full of burrs and needles. The sites are not even close to level. I just can't recommend staying here. The website is not even remotely close to what you experience. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the super friendly lady who checked us in. But that's all this place has going for it. The owner obviously doesn't care much.

I have not stayed at the RV park as a camper so I can't comment on the prices or what it's like overnight. But I have parked there now a few times to hike back into the forest. It is absolutely beautiful in any season. The staff is very friendly. The bathroom and showers are very nice.It is very quiet, always with several short-term RVers as well as the long-term mobile home residents. There is NO store. The nearest one is further east on Route 66/Highway 333 at the Zuzax gas mart. (Which doesn't have a lovely bathroom, but the employees there are nice as well.)If you are an RVer, especially one who loves some lovely hiking nearby, I would highly recommend Leisure Mountain.

The price was right and the staff were helpful. We stayed overnight on our way East. The spaces are a little short but adequate. The park is quiet. There few amenities but for an overnight stay it fits the bill. Internet password was given but it never worked and We were unable to connect. In addition it is on old Route 66! We would stay here again if on the same route.

We stayed here last year for 9 weeks. This year we are planning to stay 14. The staff is very helpful. This is not a 5 star place but it is clean and quiet. The neighbors have been great. Last year the roads were quite rutted, this year they are much better. Great weather, close to Albuquerque, Edgewood and not far from Santa Fe. We find it is a good place to go exploring from or just relaxing.
