Legion Iron Gym Albuquerque

Was in town for a conference and needed a place to work out. Their walk-in price was reasonable and allowed me to workout twice (x2 in 24hr). They had a nice variety of equipment and the people there were friendly.I made the mistake of forgetting an expensive sweatshirt at the gym and didn't want to make the Uber trip there and back during peak hours. The owner(s) were responsive to my texts and kindly set it aside for me to pick up the next time I came back.If I lived in Albuquerque, this would be my home gym.

A disclaimer I did not go to the gym as my appearance will testify but my son loves gyms and loves to visit different gyms when we travel. Into him to the Legion Iron Gym. He loved it. It was a true old school gym with Olympic brand free weights and Ohio bars. It's been a little over 30 yrs since I was a gym rat but that was the good stuff back then. He was impressed. The gym gave him a visitor pass since we were in town for an archery tournament. He loved it. Even wanted a shirt which they are going to send him one in his size. Great place and I appreciate that they were open to a 19yo working out with them.

What a find!When I travel, I try to find gyms and Legion was such a hidden gem. Communication, gym amenities, and affordability were terrific and top tier. Initially, when headed over to the site to do research, the owners (husband and wife) had their numbers readily available to text - (and being a busy business owner myself) I found it so impressive that they were so responsive. Loved the various areas and options they had too -- from free weights and squat stations to med balls, bands, jump rope to heavy bags and a climbing rope. So glad I stopped in!

Wanted to try this place out because it's close to my house. When I got there I called to figure out how to get in and whoever answered just hung up on me. Needless to say I immediately left and went straight to Iron Soul Gym instead! I was hoping that these negative reviews were just one offs , or maybe people who aren't used to warehouse gyms. But sadly they were accurate! Not only was I hung up on, but the place looks very sketch

I would give this 0 stars if I could. This place was the most disorganized, unprofessional, and filthy business I have ever seen. Access to the gym is near impossible, the equipment is in horrible condition (for what's even still functional), and is absolutely filthy.The bathrooms are repulsive, having questionable brown splatters on the wall near the toilets, mold and mildew, and hair on the toilets, sinks, walls, showers and floors. As for the gym itself, the same is true. There is hair, dust, trash and various debris on every surface. There was no music playing and no one available to ask about music or equipment. I waited outside for 10 minutes trying to figure out how to get in and purchase a day pass. After multiple phone calls and messages, someone called me and told me how to get access and pay since no one was at the facility.

10/10 Gym with all the equipment one needs 10/10 Communication- I had a question and the owner picked up the phone right away and addressed the question professionally. if you are in abq and want to get strong, this is the gym you need
