a display of food items
the outside of the building
the interior of the restaurant
This was the clean normal side of the display, I wasn't able to capture the other side with clutter.

Decided to finally stop in, as I do love me some French Pastries & baguettes. Its been many years since I revisited and they weren't at this location. Upon pulling up I saw a woman loading up her big suburban and going back & forth, she told me to enter the other door. Upon entering holy crap......this place is a zoo & shouldn't even be open for business, NO JOKE FOLKS.... a mess of table chairs, paperwork & misc... this is suppose to be a lovely French Bakery not SANFORD & SON RESIDENCE!!!!!!! She also had in plain view the tip jar with money in it & paper work in the display area with THE SUPPOSEDLY FRESH PASTRIES......YIKERS.... THAT ALARMS ME..... health violation???? ....I was going to take a picture but the owner started to tell me she does alot of events & very busy........ I seriously doubt it, you either have someone run your events and keep your location open for walk in customers. If you can't have operating normal hours with staff and Fresh baked goods regularly on hand as well as have a clean working environment and also mention right away, you only TAKE CASH, sounds like you are very desperate for the dollar these days especially when your business could be Red Tagged........OUCH SORRY BUT HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY...... I'm sure this once thriving business was a gem, BUT CLEARLY NEEDS TO THROW IN THE TOWEL.French Bakery Lovers have NO FEAR---- Go check out LA QUICHE PARISIENNE, professional, clean, friendly and the most authentic pastries in town.

They've begun wrapping the baguettes in plastic so I'm sadly dropping a star.

I'm giving five stars to the food! This is a very small and simple place. My feeling is that most people don't go there to sit and eat. However, I went there to have breakfast with my husband and really enjoyed the quietness and intimacy of the place. We had just been in France a month before, and when we tried the bakery's breakfast lots of delicious memories came to our minds. Their bread, jam, butter and pastries are delicious. Everything was extremely fresh and the service was really quick. If you like it that way, make sure to ask for the European style coffee, which is stronger than the American one. It doesn't come at an extra charge and it's really good.

Wow! My friend lives right down the street from this place and comes here often! If I lived in Abq, I think I would be here about every day, especially for the bakery items!!! There is this cute little french woman that runs this place and she greets you with a smile. Its a smaller place with about 8 tables, with some french decor and maps on the tables; I love the atmosphere already! I ordered the crepe with ham, egg and cheese and my friend got the croissant with the same. She offeres a farm-fresh egg for an extra $0.10 and I jump at that; I love fresh eggs!!! The coffee was really good and it wasn't long before our breakfast was served. It was heavenly! The crepe was served with a mini-baguette, butter and apricot jam. SO good!!! I tried my friend's croissant, and it was delightful! My friend said she has had their sandwiches and quiche for lunch too; all really good!!!Over the course of the next few days, I got some baguettes to munch on, a cheese croissant, creme brulee, some cookies and a tart! Everything was SO good! Keep in mind that they only take cash, but it didn't deter me from coming back! I even bought a few baguettes and brought them home with me. She told me that if I didn't eat them by the end of the day, I would need to freeze it as it is not baked with preservatives. The bread is the perfect mix of a crunchy outside, and a soft inside. C'est magnifique!

The worst french facade of a bakery I have ever had the misfortune of stopping at. This place is not true to French patisserie in flavor, style or presentation. I purchased a chocolate croissant that I was told had been baked that morning and immediately returned it. It was so hard and dry it had to have been at least a few days old. Yet, even if it was from that morning, that's even worse because of the condition it was in. They try to make the place look more Parisian with the decor, but it just looks cheap and unkept. Nothing was stocked, cleaned nicely and there was some odd reside of dew from the refrigeration in the yellow hued display cases. It was absolutely horrible. You're better off eating a saltine with dollar store chocolate than finding anything of better taste at this joke of a bakery.

Have again: the ham, egg & cheese crepe was excellent as was the hard, little 50 cent cookies that don't look so good, but are really good, e.g., the chocolate chunk cookie. The brioche was also quite tasty. Not have again: the cinnamon roll was very light, tasteless and not worth eating, almost reducing this to 3 stars, but the crepe was very nice.

Best French bread and pastries that I have found in town. We always order a bouche de Noel each Christmas and it is a great combination of beautiful decoration and delicious taste- most places you get one or the other. My husband ordered my last birthday cake here and it was delicious as well. I have stopped by for quiche at lunch and practically had the place to myself but it was fresh and felt a bit healthier than average lunch fare.

This is absolutely the best french bread I have had in New Mexico - so delicious! The pain au chocolat was also mouth watering good. I'll definitely be back again! (I do wish they were open longer, but oh well - I'll take what I can get.)

Probably the worst restaurant in Albuquerque. Rude, bad service, disorderly, filthy. Ordered a ham and cheese sandwich on baguette. Got a tiny little thing, bread was stale, "cheese" was a few shreds of packaged grated american cheese, ham was the cheapest processed junk. And then paid $6.50 for the pleasure. Avoid this place at all costs.
