Dishonest and deceitful businessman. It is my opinion that Dave intentionally took advantage of my mother because she was elderly, widowed and terminally ill - which is reprehensible. This is a business owner that works in bad faith, lacks accountability and diligence, and will not honor his own contractual warranty.My mother hired Dave in early 2022 to complete some sod work and miscellaneous landscaping. Within months of the work completion, large patches of the sod began to die. There were grubs and other insects in the sod. Entire sections of the sod began to roll up and expose plastic netting. My mother tried to work with Dave to resolve these issues for over a year, to no avail. He would no-show for scheduled appointments, not return calls, blame my mother for the shoddy sod; all to avoid taking any responsibility. The three year warranty was never honored. It wasn't until my mother passed away that we truly realized the extent of the runaround she was given. Countless of her emails, calls, and text messages went unreturned. When Dave did bother to reply, he only did so to further blame my mother, never once offering a reasonable solution. We eventually hired another contractor to fix the mess Dave had made.We ultimately took Dave and Landco to court where we were promptly awarded default judgment for breach of contract. It's inexcusable that this could not have been resolved without litigation and further illustrates the type of person and businessman Dave is. At the time of this writing, Dave continues to be unresponsive and we have not recovered damages.

I'm so glad I decided to Request a Quote. In case you're unawares, it's a feature on the Yelp app that connects you with a handful of companies that bid and compete for your home project. When I decided I needed a landscaping company for a patio water feature, I was pretty sure of the company I was going to hire, but since it was free and easy, I had several companies come out to consult. Landco wasn't my first choice, but I liked David Bennett, the owner, immediately; he seemed genuinely intrigued and excited about beautifying our space, his estimate was very fair, and he provided design work before he got started. Now that he's finished, I'm absolutely confident I signed up with the right company.So you need to check out the photos to really understand what his guys accomplished. They built a split face brick and natural stone water feature that transformed our backyard into a space our entire family is going to enjoy for many years to come, and I'm going to throw more than a few parties, sorry/not sorry, neighbors. The fountain has an LED light panel with color and intensity options, two terrific evergreen bushes and most importantly, the water output is super lush -- no trickling drip for us -- truly diluting/masking the noise pollution nearby. This review is definitely a long time coming. Due to difficulties on my end and Dave's, the project took a while to complete; Dave runs a small crew and he needed to put the right people on this job. But everything came together beautifully, and I'm calling him for the next project. Expect professionalism and strong communication throughout your project, as well.

Dave was easily the most informative person I talked to while looking for quotes. I was debating sod vs artificial turf and Dave gave me tomes of information on each, to help me decide. I didn't have a specific design in mind for my new yard (new construction with dirt backyard), so I was happy with their unconventional model of contracting for design at a set budget. We went through a couple iterations of design and then scheduled the work. Even though a few things about the terrain weren't as expected and the work took longer than estimated, they did not charge me extra.Dave sent me their list of plants, which I was originally going to use to fill my planter, but the list was so extensive that I ended up getting some extras to fill in around the yard! I paid for the plants that were additional to the contracted design, but they didn't charge me for installation.Throughout the work, Dave kept in close contact with me via email and phone so that I knew what to expect each day, and he answered any questions I had. We have a few dry patches now that are being watered by sprinkler or drip twice a day, and I have no doubt that if they don't recover soon Landco will come replace them.We are extremely happy with the way our yard came out! I would use Landco again and again.

David and his team are amazing! I requested a quote online with a picture from multiple landscapers. Many of the other landscapers requested to come onsite and measure before they gave me a quote, which sort of defeats the purpose of being able to request a quote online.Not David, he gave me a quote and stuck to it. He even gave me a discount because the vendor sent the wrong size turf, so it delayed the project a bit (which wasn't a big deal at all as I wasn't in a rush).After installing the turf, David asked me to turn on the in-ground sprinkler system. They had cut holes so that the sprinklers would still work. That way I could rinse off the dog waste automatically every once in a while.I explained that the sprinklers hadn't worked in a few years. He had his team come look at it and make the necessary repairs, at no extra cost!The entire team, including David, was extremely helpful, responsive, and easy-going. I am impressed with the quality so far. I'll update the review if I have any issues, but I'm extremely optimistic that me (and the dogs) will love it for years to come.Thank you David, for an amazing experience! Landco layed about 1100 Sq feet of sod, 15 sprinklers completely plumbed from scratch, reconfigured my drip line, and completely re-purposed my rock to my vision as a rock boarder. His team completed all the work in about 5 days and even came and replaced a piece of sod that didn't take to the ground as well as fertilized the lawn 1 month after laying the sod. He also had a great idea to install this new Rainbird timers that fit right on top of the sprinklers valves in the valve box. These made it so there was no ugly sprinkler timer on my wall. He definitely will be used again and did some great work. Thank you Dave and you team.

I needed my yard cleaned up and minimally landscaped to just make it a nice place for me and my kids to hang out. David came out when he said he would, was super flexible, the price was quite reasonable and they finished the work within about a week. I would totally recommend Landco to anyone needing work done!

Landco did the original landscaping for our backyard two years ago, and they did an outstanding job. Dave, the owner of Landco, could not have been more helpful, creative, flexible, and friendly. He designed an excellent plan, incorporating our ideas with his own, and the result was a plan that was perfect for us. His people were professional and extremely hard working, completing the job in a reasonable amount of time at a very competitive price. This year, at our request, Landco came here and completely redid one of the beds in our backyard, adding plants with more color, drought tolerance and character. We consulted with Dave and mutually came up with a new layout for the bed, and they just finished it up a few days ago. We just couldn't be more pleased with the end result.We read the one negative review here on Yelp, and were shocked. This person's experience was 180 degrees out from ours. We have highly recommended Landco to several of our neighbors in the past, and will continue to do so without any hesitation.

You could not ask for a more professional company and team of great guys. They designed my yard in drought resistance fashion that met the criteria of a fire rebuild in Sonoma County. All was said and done in a timely fashion and within budget. We are very pleased with their work and product quality. Thank you Landco!!

Scam alert. Ordered a 5 Gal plant, cost over $160 with shipping, not even the size of a one gallon plant and not very healthy. Was told the rootball and plant were trimmed down for shipping (then why was shipping so expensive for turned out to be a 3 lb box via UPS?). Buyer beware of online plant sales, or if performing a landscape job, be sure you are getting the sized plants you are paying for. Would give zero stars if an option.

Apparently customer service is frowned upon and Landco. I reached out to them on Yelp requesting a quote. It is now 3 days later and only crickets. I definitely cannot recommend a company that doesn't want my business.And here is the response from Lanco: We have the right to refuse service and we do not want to do business with you. Thank you.Wonderful business ethic. Ignore potential customers. Never contact or meet them. And refuse to do business with them.
