Update. After staying here almost 3 years moved out just shy of 5 months received a ridiculous summary of charges. They never cleaned the carpet yet want to charge me for replacement. Charged me a cleaning fee during a pandemic.... Hello you have to clean & sanitize the place anyway. But I left it spotless. Be sure if you move out you do a walk through with management do you aren't charged for things that are true. My pictures against your words.

Writing this review on behalf of my parents, who have lived here for almost a year--thank goodness it's almost over. They're Chinese immigrants, so they don't typically have an easy time standing up for themselves when it comes to customer service. The trouble really started when the downstairs neighbor's apartment flooded. The service workers entered my parents' apartment without notice given that it was an emergency. This would've been fine, except they did it repeatedly and without consideration for my dad working from home, who was in the middle of meetings. When they couldn't find the issue, the kept coming in, again and again. Each time, they trudged around with dirty work boots, which upset my parents since they leave all shoes at the door. No apologies, no care or caution. If you want proof that this isn't an isolated incident, go look at the La Ventana - Alliance page, which looks like a duplicate page for the same building. The response when my parents complained to the leasing office? "We're allowed to come in whenever we want if there's an emergency. If you don't like it, you shouldn't live in an apartment, go live in a house."Look, I get it. Emergencies happen, and they need to be fixed. But afterwards, maybe take a moment to do some damage control? We don't expect your maintenance workers to take off their shoes, but at least recognize that this was upsetting and offer a solution. Later, the microwave vent above the stove broke. Staff came by to fix it, realized it couldn't be fixed and a new microwave/vent needed to be ordered. Apparently there were delays--and when it did arrive, there was emergency maintenance that took priority. So, there's been a microwave/vent sitting in the office somewhere, and emergency maintenance for the last three months. To make things better, the gated exit is broken. So everyone just enters the community through the exit at free will. Unsurprisingly, we returned home this weekend to see shattered glass in the parking lot, presumably from someone's car getting broken into. At worst, this place has been taking advantage of the fact that my parents speak limited English. At best, this place is horribly run and seems to be falling apart without any capability of fixing its issues.

I recently moved here from the WEST COAST last week and was provided the best customer service by "The La Ventana Dynamic Duo (Assistant Community Manager and Community Manager)." These ladies should get excellent employee performance appraisals that generate an increase in salary and public recognition within and outside of the organization. If I had my own property and need it managed I would try and steal them away from this organization. Great job hiring them, and God bless whoever sat in on their interviews to work here. Take care, and see additional stars that I could add on this platform below:1000 STARS

Worst management ever! The apartments themself aren't bad. Kinda small for the 3 bedrooms, but it's manageable with a nice set up.Moving in, the apt was very dirty... check it out first. The living area is nice and convenient in NE heightsThe management and crime (robbery) is awful. The security gates has been broken since August time. My partners car has been broken into twice here and mine has been broken into twice. My license plate was stolen once. Other cars have had windows smashed, door handles broken...Management does not care or do anything to even attempt to stop it.They say "that's living in Albuquerque"We pay almost $2000 a month for an apartment we don't even feel safe inNot to mention, the stuff including in our rent like the pool, you can't use right now except during business hours because the fob to get into the pool/grilling area has been broken for month. No cooking dinner on the grill. It's all just a mess. We can not wait for our lease to be up. I have never met such rude and disrespectful management... especially when you're paying so much.

If I could read this apartment complex, zero stars, I absolutely would. I don't even know where to start, but let me try and spare anyone and their bank accounts of the people who are considering being a future tenant here.My girlfriend and I were so foolish to believe this place was as good as it seemed. We were shown a way bigger apartment than what we were given. I should've known something sketchy was going on whenever the front desk girl refused to show us our actual apartment until the move-in date. Once we saw what we were moving in to, we were completely torn. The bathtub faucet was broken and covered in tape. Lights weren't working, dryer was broken. Despite having several (I'm talking like, 6 attempts) to get our dryer fixed, in person and email, they finally fixed it 3 months after we moved in. It took me going down and finally standing my ground for them to do anything. Not to mention our washer flooded our apartment two months after we moved in. Our move in charges were increased by over a thousand dollars because the manager made a mistake denying us at first. (How does this make sense? I have no clue. ) This place also lies about the rent charge. They tell you it'll be $1591 for the smallest apartment you've ever seen, yet they'll find any way to up the rent by telling you it's for "pool charges" or "routine maintenance." It's mentioned at the very end of the least that there can be extra charges, and that's where they get you. My mistake, I should've read more thoroughly. I guess I would have expected them to be more upfront and open about the rent charges whenever i signed. I clearly read that would be $1591 a month. Mind you, the hot tub only works half the time. Most recent rent charge was $1795 instead of what they initially said it would be which is absolutely insane. My parents pay that for a 3 bedroom house. If i wanted to pay this much I would just go live in a house. Management has the worst communication of any complex I've lived in. Emails and phone calls get you no where here. You have to pretty much go into the office and beg someone for help or an explanation. Oh, and if you're a young woman be careful about maintenance, they love to hit on you. I pulled up into my parking spot, and a group of the maintenance guys were standing directly in front of my car. They started hollering, pointing, looking. I backed out of the spot because I felt uncomfortable, and they all laughed. I don't even feel safe to walk out of my car without my girlfriend being with me. I'm so disappointed in myself for not doing more research on these apartments before choosing to live here. I can hardly afford groceries or anything nice because of what they've done to the rent. I'm literally praying they don't increase it more because this is getting tight. I can't beg you people enough to turn the other way on these apartments. You could get the same quality apartment living downtown, im not even kidding. Spare yourself.

Oye, where to start with this apartment. Firstly, all the good reviews seen throughout the internet are because they solicit positive reviews during your first week of residency. These tenants have not been through the entire move in and move out process.Initially, during signing, it was super easy and seamless. They communicated well. I did ask for a 6 month lease but they put 8 months on the paperwork (I'll take full ownership of not double checking that part - just sneaky. Technically I asked for 3 months or 6 months and they said they do not offer that however, their website says they do. Again, I'll own that one.)Next comes the part when you're a resident. Communication? Crickets. Email them? Don't respond. Call them? Don't respond. Go into the office? They say check your email. We tried to terminate our lease early, no response so we continued to pay on the apartment and maintained utilities even though we had vacated. Emailed a few weeks later to multiple inboxes asking again that we would like to vacate and to advise on whether they can process the early termination or would like us to continue the monthly rent. Finally got a form to fill out but no process on what to do next. Because their payment system is not secure, I do not use AutoPay and do not store my card information. This led to us being in a serious accident a few weeks ago in another state and requiring hospital stays outside of New Mexico and we ended up missing our December payment (we were actually just two weeks late). At this point, we have vacated the apartment back in October and were recovering from this accident. I ended up paying the December rent and any fees associated, emailed them about it and of course, no response. I went toward the end of the month of December to check on the apartment just to ensure that all was well and found court papers on the door. No email, phone call, or mailed attempt at this court appearance. Now, I need to go to court to settle this, which I'm happy to just pay any fees to dissolve this relationship and move on but again, no response. Horrible, horrible way to run business. At least return an email, you can do it from anywhere. Definitely don't recommend this complex for that reason alone. The apartment itself, eh, nothing to write home about. We could hear the guy below us snoring all night long. Dogs barking all day and all night long from various apartments. Dingy stains everywhere. It did the job but I definitely would have chose somewhere else with a better management company, I can deal with dingy conditions. I guess we'll see what kind of charges they concoct to charge me. We sold everything prior to moving here and were only in the the apartment for a total of 10 weeks maybe with zero furniture and 4 boxes of belongings.Beware. Stay away. It's in your best interest.

The amenities and grounds are nice. I liked my apartment. Unfortunately I moved in right before COVID, so I didn't get to use the amenities. Then after a year my lease renewed at 20% higher. I researched and found that nation wide, rent increases were 3%. I appealed to management and to corporate who told me they had to keep up with the market, and I was offered a $30/month decrease after the 20% increase, which was basically nothing. So I had to move. I'm a senior, and at my age moving isn't easy. And, silly me, I thought I wouldn't have a rent increase since the pool, hot tub, exercise room, etc, weren't available due to COVID.
