La Casa Sena Wine Shop

Sort of hard to find but a nice selection of wines from around the world. Some quite reasonable local wines to expensive imports. Person I spoke with was maybe too honest regarding the local whites ("we don't do a very good job with whites here in NM") altho' they stick them (interesting for a wine shop to carry a wine they don't think it very good?!?).

Beautiful setting!!!! Food was delicious yet a bit pricey even for Santa Fe prices.Now the 3 stars is for the waiter who was constantly interrupting to ask if we were ok. Not only was it too much but there were 4 of us and he literally had to stop our conversation. That was quite unpleasant :(

I am a wino. My retirement plan is to buy some land and start a winery. I avoid some things (merlot and chardonnay) but I'll try anything at least once. So of course I enjoy a good romp through any and every wine store that crosses my path.Intrigued by the little courtyard, I ventured around the corner and into the wine store. The man behind the counter was helping someone, so I just started to browse myself. I was hoping to find something unique to share with my friend in appreciation of her welcoming me into her home for the weekend. I did find many impressive bottles - but frankly nothing affordable for a casual weekend. Their selection was amazing,and I would have liked to have heard more about it, but no one came to talk to me... so I really didn't feel like paying the price.So if you're looking for an expensive library wine to impress, this place seems like it would have something for you, but it's not friendly for the casual browser.

So we asked for a table and the hostess took us to a four top near the service entrance. Way to busy. We asked to be seated somewhere where we could talk and she said the other tables were four tops. When we pointed out our was a four top and there was another empty four top near the fountain she told us to wait. She then seated two people at the table near the fountain that we just requested as we waited and watched. Ridiculous. Eventually we were seated at another four top. Terrible way to treat customers. To be fair to the restaurant and provide a review that may be helpful I updated this review to four stars. The food was delicious and the table service was excellent. Just be prepared for the attitude of the hostess.

You should budget about 90 minutes to browse here before making your purchase. Labels and vintners you never heard of before and all carefully stored at the correct temperatures.

La Casa Sena is tucked into a beautiful courtyard. Great place to sit out on the patio and enjoy a margarita and delicious food.

Closed due to liquor license and financial issues. Have not bothered to update their website since 2023

Wonderful service choosing a bottle of wine for our 25th anniversary. Said up front we didn't want to spend that much and this didn't impact service at all. Very nice vibe--and wine!

this place is fantastic and has such a fabulous selection of wine at all price points. they have a better selection than anyplace I have ever been - go there now! also a small selection of spirits that you will love!

The Cheesemongers where we picked up a few items for a picnic didn't sell wine. They recommended this wine shop.We wanted a dry white wine and decided on one from France - the perfect oyster wine - that we normally pair with seafood. It went well with the cheese we bought. But, in hindsight, we should have told the staff - a young lady with the coolness of Gia Coppola - in the shop what we exactly had for picnic. Judging by the size of her collection and the promptness of her finding what we were looking for, she would certainly turn us on to a matching wine that we are not yet familiar with.A week later we stopped by the shop for NM sparkling wines that we had never tried before. Followed the advice by the staff, we chose two different kinds. They were both good.
