K'Lynn's Catering

We just stumbled upon the best new restaurant in Rio Rancho! We were walking out of another shop and the lady offered us a sample of their Jambalaya, which was so delicious that we decided to have lunch here. I have to say they have the BEST Po Boy I have had this far away from the coast, and the shrimp was juicy, large, and cooked to perfection with a zesty sauce. My daughter had the Carne Adovada fries and she devoured it and said it was super tasty! They said they just opened a few weeks ago, and for now they are only open Thur-Sat 11am-3pm, but that could change to more days and hours.

From the moment we met Karen for a tasting at her current establishment, we felt a warmth and an attentiveness that we had been looking for in a caterer. My wife and I planned to have a wedding within a month of contacting her and she was open and willing to accommodate us. We tasted the southern cuisine she had to offer and we were delighted by the flavor and the variety: gumbo, collard greens, fried catfish, and beans and rice. Everything was mouthwatering and so fresh-tasting. Karen was very responsive with our last minute questions. She was able to provide overlays for our tables and she arrived to the venue an hour before guests were to arrive. She was there ready to know the details of the setup and our preferences for serving food. All in all, Karen and her wait staff truly made this special day in our lives even more so and ensured that we did not have to worry about her end of things. Many people commented that they loved the food and appreciated the different choice in a wedding dinner. Thank you so much Karen! We will be spreading the word to family and friends, and visiting your place in Rio Rancho for dinner again.

Karen was very helpful with our catering event. My timing was tight, so there was a quick turn around. Karen was very responsive and nice in all of her interactions with me (despite being very busy!). The food was great and there was plenty of it. We hope to use K'Lynn's again! Thank you!

My husband and I had K'Lynn Your Personal Cook cater out wedding, and she did a phenomenal job! We had asked for a tasting, and we hard a difficult time choosing because it was all really fresh and delicious. She worked with us so that we could have some of this and some of that, and everyone was happy with their options the day of the wedding. Her prices cannot be beat, and she adds that personal touch that shows she really cares. She went above and beyond! She arrived at the venue early, nicely dressed, and her staff had everything ready in the blink of an eye. I honestly received so many compliments on the food. If you are going to cater an event, do yourself a favor and go with K'Lynn Your Personal Cook! We definitely will in the future!

We recently hosted a small dinner gathering in Santa Fe and asked Karen to cater a special meal that included items for 'non-mammal' eaters. She delivered our menu on time and with the proper utensils for us to DIY. On top of that ahe handled our last-minute food request with great aplomb and brought us a (bountiful) three course meal that had us all considering seconds; we didn't because the vegan chocolate dessert was out of this world yummy! She's definitely on the top of our preferred list of food chefs.

Very sweet owner and delicious food. Was willing to work with me and my wife on our budget and offered a variety of food. My go to catering for my birthday every year!

Seriously delicious shrimp poboy and sweet potato pie! Wow! You MUST go there! She is normally a caterer and comes up with all her recipes and even her sauces, which have so much depth! Even her drinks are good! She is going to be getting her wine and beer license as well-woohoo! I believe she is open now for her "deli" on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 11-3 so I can't wait! Next time I am going to go back and try some catfish and plantains and go to the new pottery painting place next to her and paint a canvas while I have lunch! Yay!
