A trip out to Kirkland means a stop at the commissary for Thanksgiving trimmings. We were able to get most of what was needed. Similar to the civilian sector prices have increased. But they still represent a small savings. Plus all the non-food items are still tax free. It's smaller that most commissaries I've been to. But there is a small military community (active, reserve, veterans & retired) to service. My largest complaint, if you can call, is the build is dated and dingy. The lighting is poor. Although it's not it makes the store look dirty. I think it still worth the stop if you qualify to shop there.

First time at the commissary and was not disappointed! Wide aisles, clean store and a great selection! The smell of fresh bread was amazing, in the bakery area. Grabbed some fresh sushi to take home for lunch!

Everything you need and always at a great price. Can find things at least $1 cheaper than most local Walmarts. They have some variety, but they don't always have everything. They have green chile, they have sushi, they have holiday items, they have cakes in the bakery. Lines are usually pretty fast and great samples too. The weird thing is the baggage system and tipping, but that's what those workers rely on. Can get crowded the first week of the month (aka pay day)

Commissaries are a nice benefit to military service and I want to be clear that I am in no way ungrateful for this benefit. My intention is to provide a review for this particular commissary in comparison to other commissaries I have been a patron as well as a slight comparison to other local grocery chains. This commissary is small in comparison to all other commissaries I have frequented. I have never had to wait in line for very long and the checkers/bag personnel are kind and helpful. The produce section is lacking. The bins are always almost or totally empty of various fruits and veggies. Corn on the cob was not available on 3 consecutive occasions. The deli section is GREAT in comparison to Albertsons. The $$$ were substantially lower. Organic milk is about the same $. They stock the international foods most commissaries carry which is great when you want some German chocolate or British biscuits. Cereal is much less $$$ here than at most grocery stores in the area. Meat is less $$$ but they offer very little organic options (for which I prefer where meat is concerned). Overall, the prices are lower for most items, but the variety is much much less than other grocery stores.

First time here bagger lady was very mean. Normally I have my groceries put in my cart here the bagger took the liberty to put them in small cart and got super angry when I said thank you I'll take it from here. First of is COVID 19 regulations second I don't carry cash with me because of COVID and turn I want as much distance as possible. Then the cashier Made 3 mistakes trying to charge me and needed assistance twice from her manager. Anyhow it was the bagger that messed up my experience. I said thank you and she just said "you wasted my time I could of gotten tip from someone else"

Have been shopping at this commissary for years and have always loved the service. The only detail that I feel needs to be mentioned is that there are always items I love to have and then I come back just a week later and they are discontinued forever. This includes some of the imports and even just daily necessities like fluoride free toothpaste, or wrinkle free spray... etc. It's pretty disappointing to get something that you love and hope to get every time you come in to realize that you'll never have that luxury again.... WHY??!

I love the commissary. Not only are the prices the best around, but the deli staff, butcher, cashiers, and baggers are fantastic. I have no experience with the bakery, but have never heard anything bad. There rarely is a wait to checkout. They have your fave German food mixes too (spice mixes, roast packets, noodles, etc). Baggers work for tips only, so be nice and give them a good tip, especially if the weather is less than ideal. Worth the trip, especially for freezer items. Bring your mil ID - you need it to enter the building and to check out.

It's ok. The Air Force has plenty of benes like commissaries and exchange. Gas was a lot cheaper and so was a haircut.

Accurate review. Some (a few) are excellent employees, the vast majority are a total disaster. Been using commissaries worldwide for 45 years, the staff here at KAFB by far are the worse. Lazy...terrible attitudes...zero customer service...ZERO.

I stopped in today and was looking for something specific. I asked an associate who name is Todd I believe, if he knew where it was, but he was unsure. He helped me look all over for it, but couldn't find it. He explained that it was very simple to make and even showed me an article on how to properly make it. I told him thank you for helping, and went on my way. About 10 minutes later he found me in the store and brought the product to me. He said he looked all throughout the store and finally found it. I was absolutely blown away by the customer service he gave today. He really went above and beyond and that's why I decided to leave a review. I wish there were more people like him out there.
