If I could rate this as zero star I would. We had just left meow wolf wanting to take something back to Madrid and the man told us upon looking at my military ID we were too drunk. Based on what? Who knows. Wish I had read the reviews before we stopped because we ended up going to Total Wine & More and had no issues. Never stopping there again and strongly advise others not to bother.

Zero stars aren't available. We had driven for 12 hours from Arizona to stay the night in Santa Fe before heading to Nebraska the next day. We were staying at the hotel next door so we decided to get some alcohol to take to the room with us. My husband ran in real quick to get some fireball. When he got to the register the man said he couldn't sell it to him. And when he said why? The man said "you're too drunk". Now mind you it was only 6pm on a Thursday, but he hadn't had a drop to drink. Maybe TMI, but he needed to relieve his bladder. So I guess he was walking funny. Not drunk. Had to Pee. We will NEVER EVER stop there again.

I drive tourists around this city on a contract basis for various clients and I get a lot of people who want me to drive them to a liquor store after they arrive at the Santa Fe Airport or getting off Railrunner Transit so they can relax at their vacation rental or Air BNB... I have completely stopped taking them to this liquor store because several of the employees will just not sell to them. The frequent complaints I have been getting is that the staff fakes them looking, acting, or smelling like they may have had a drink before entering the store. It is very frustrating because as a driver, I would rather take them to Total Wine a quarter mile away because they have better prices and a friendlier staff. None of the other Kelly Liquors locations do this. It is specifically one older Asian gentleman who is usually the problem and he also won't make a sale for lower priced items for some reason, and a lot of the time it isn't even for an alcohol sale. It's weird, and as a local, i understand not making a sale to an inebriated customer, but this specific employee also seems to target tourists of color and race.

This liquor store recently opened and was formerly the Tequila Bar. I recently stopped by to check out the inside and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly to talk with. What a great selection of wines, liquor, and beer. They helped me pick the perfect Italian wine and even a local New Mexico wine for celebrating my anniversary. I highly recommend this store to anyone. It is located in a convenient and safe location right off of Cerrillos Road near the Santa Fe Place Mall. They have low prices and a vast selection of fine liquors.

Bought a 1.75 liter bottle of a liquor I had never bought before at this location. It wasn't an exotic liquor, it's widely available, so it's not like it was anything out of plain old ordinary, regularly found liquor. I thought at the time, wow, it seems pricey, but I was in a hurry and purchased it. Later that night, I checked the price elsewhere. I could've purchased it a few blocks down the street for 25% less. Also, Kelly Liquors, while large, gives off a feel of dirtiness, and not well lit. Never going back there.

New owners in the last year or so. I haven't been there in some time. I got a 1/2 pint of Maker's Mark and two 16 oz. Scorpion Ales. It was $17. Come on- I know there's inflation but that's just a ripoff. Never going back.

Horrible experience at the Kelly's on 3600 Cerrillos Road by Santa Fe place we need to buy a couple of Arnold Palmer Hard iced tea and noticed they were two for $5 so I get to and get to the counter and I asked the cashier if they were two for $5 and he replies yes so he scans the can and he says they are $2.99 and I let him know that was what the tag said at the cooler he tells me he cannot sell me it 2 for $5 and I kind of argued with him not so much in a sentence of arguing but letting him know that he should honor the price decides all those Arnold Palmer's are two for $5 all over town in Santa Fe New Mexico and again he tells me no I will not sell them to you two for $5 he argued with me and told me $2.99 and I walked out sad it's hard to understand experience and situation
