Not sure why the ratings are so low but I like this place. There beer wall is long with a great selection of local & craft options. Great "corner" liquor store.

This place is a mess as far as I'm concerned. There were bottles of liquor on floors, counters, everything seemed in absolute disarray. As with most places, I went for the beer selection and found here that it was fair. However, dusty bottles abound and the there were a number of beers out that were waaaaay past the date they should've been sold by (a Stone Black IPA from the fall being one example, although I still bought one). The workers here are friendly enough, but not nearly as eager to help and provide suggestions like at Jubilation.

This location of Kelly Liquors (there appears to be a ton in ABQ) is somewhere between the expensive liquor store that has everything you're looking for, and the small discount shop where selection falls to the wayside for good deals on the popular stuff. For example, they didn't have the Lillet Blanc I was looking for (although they did have two other Lillets), but they had the best price for Jagermeister and also had about as many different beers as any place in the Duke City. The store hours are decent and the place is convenient enough. A strike against Kelly Liquor's is that it's not the cleanest joint in the world, and it seems that you have to wait for someone to leave an aisle before you can look yourself or it'll be too crowded. Not all bad, I would recommend this place to anyone who needed several bottles of something but wasn't shopping for anything uncommon.

This is my favorite Kelly's because they carry a lot of unique items like Pisco (Chilean liquor). Some of the staff members are really helpful. I've gone in and mentioned I like something and the next time they will remember and suggest something similar.

I won't be going back. Watched a cashier, big guy lots of muscles and tattoos, sell to a guy who was clearly wasted. That's what we need in this town is more intoxicated people on the road. When it was my turn at the counter he spent more time hitting on me than helping me with my purchase. I didn't come in to be harassed. I can't imagine that is how the owners expect this place to operate. Plenty of other places to buy liquor in town. Go elsewhere.

Not sure why I've patronized these guys in the past, but I'm well finished dealing with this rude place. It's not fair to say that ALL of the employees here are rude as hell, but it seems to be the norm for the place that most of them are for some reason. Don't expect friendly customer service or offers to help you carry anything. They apparently rather like seeing you try to figure out things yourself while they creepily just watch from the comfort afforded behind the counter. For any veteran out there (me included), its much like going to supply or similar, where the workers apparently display more contempt and disdain for those of us coming for goods. The difference however is of course the fact that you, we, I......PAY MONEY for the goods. If you believe the value of your money should include being treated like a VALUED customer, there's dozens of other places that would be happy to have your business.
