This review is split because I have had good and bad experiences in dealing with K-Ram. I had two leaks in my roof and had Gilbert come to my house on August 18, 2017. I didn't get my estimate until August 30, 2017, but it was a very thorough one. He did an "Eagle View Roof Report" without telling me, which added $85 to the cost estimate which totaled $1850 to fix the two leaks OR almost $22,000 to re-roof the whole house. I chose the less expensive fix on the recommendation of the insurance rep. Gilbert told me they would credit me the $1850 if I ended up doing the whole roof (within a reasonable amount of time of course). It was almost 2 weeks after getting the proposal that I emailed Gilbert to see when they were coming as I received no communication. They were super busy due to the ABQ downpours and finally got to me on September 14th. They repaired the two spots, but ended up fixing the WRONG place so the leak continued to destroy the ceiling in my home office. I called back and told Gilbert where I thought the leak originated and even mentioned how his guy (Rick) told me the spot they fixed didn't seem damaged at all (my first clue it wasn't going to be fixed). Rick was a gem to work with though! He came back out when he could...about 2 weeks later and fixed the spot where I thought the problem was (which was right...Rick took pics and showed me the damage). Gilbert sent me the following message after I was insistent they get back out here and fix the problem: "Sorry about the leak...this is why I was so insistent on you having the complete roof done...that roof's underlayment is failing and will continue to do so from now on...Did Rick show you the photos of your roof's condition...in that he had to replace rotted out decking as well, which should have been an add on to what I quoted you..."I told him that Rick showed me the leak in my kitchen that rotted, but the one over my office (which was still leaking because they fixed the wrong spot), was not rotted at all. Despite getting annoyed, I bit the bullet and asked them to fix my whole roof. It took over another month for them to fit me on the schedule (October 23, 2017), but I understood because it was a big job. It took probably 7-8 working days for them to complete the job. Daniel was supervisor for my job and HE WAS A JOY to work with! Such a happy man...explained everything to me and answered any questions (I would have given K-Ram 5 stars just because of Daniel and Rick had I not had other issues!). The crew seemed to do an excellent job! I have no complaints...but it hasn't rained since completion so I will just HOPE I have no more leaking. So we get the bill...and Gilbert had decided to only credit us $900 of the $1850 due to the fact that the repairs were more extensive than he had estimated. I reasoned that it shouldn't have mattered because they didn't have to fix those areas again and should have been covered under the TOTAL ROOF estimate. My husband wrote K-Ram a letter with the check and asked him to honor his agreement/estimate (minus the $1850 we already paid). Going back on the price agreement and the delays are what brought the rating down. The men on the crew deserve 5 stars as they were efficient, cleaned up every day, and worked hard.

First. Showed up late to give estimate on roof leak.Second. Said he would be back the following day to look again with another employee and would call me with the estimate. No calls.Third. I called couple days later and was told he would drop off the estimate. Did not drop off the estimate.Fourth. The following week I called back and was told they would email or fax my estimate. Still waiting. Worst Customer Service Ever.

This company is extremely unprofessional, unethical and careless. We had them do some basic roof maintenance at our house, and immediately after they finished rebuilding a box around a skylight, we discovered we had no power to a section of the house. I notified the salesman/foreman immediately and he came by and eyeballed the problem and said there was nothing he could do because "he's not an electrician." After days of exploratory and repair work by an electrician (and hundreds of dollars at our expense), which also was a huge inconvenience as it required me to take off more time from work, it was clear that the crew had cut an electrical line while on the roof. I notified K-Ram and asked for reimbursement. Rocky, who I had worked with from the start, assured me he would talk with Gilbert, the owner, about making us whole. That didn't happen. Instead, Rocky directly contacted our electrician and told him he didn't think the crew was at fault. He then proceeded to schedule a meeting at our home without us present with the electrician, basically so he could go through the motions and refuse to pay. I called Rocky and told him I needed to be present for the meeting at which time he told me he had decided his crew wasn't at fault and that he's just a salesman who shouldn't have to handle this. He complained that we and Gilbert had put him in this position and said it's not his company and he can't make these decisions. When I told him I didn't want to meet if they weren't acting in good faith to right the wrong, he said I had my answer and he was done with the situation. I won't use this company again of course and recommend others avoid them at all costs!

A very frustrating experience. Had a few leaks inside my garage. After a lot of research and reading reviews I chose K-ram. A roofing specialist came out quite quickly and recommended patching the gutters and the quote was reasonably priced. I agreed to it and he said they would call in a few days to schedule the repair. (He also mentioned my roof looked old and I should consider replacing it.) Long story short they supposedly showed up about a week later and fixed it without a call and without informing me. I had no idea it had been done (but I was curious why there was a box cutter in the dirt on the side of my garage) until he showed up early one morning to get paid. At first I thought it was nice that it happened so seamlessly but then it rained and my garage leaked again but this time in only 3 of the 4 locations. I called them and after the second or third call the specialist returned for about 2 minutes and said he would fix the rest no charge. A week or so later I had the feeling it had not been repaired yet so I went on the roof to inspect and found a mess. Trash remnants and a minimal patch job in one spot that I could have done myself. I have since called several times and each time I am told they will come out "this week" and fix it but that hasn't happened. After this experience I wont be choosing them to replace my roof when the time comes. I had such high hopes for them and I hate to leave a bad review for a local company but my frustration prevails.

Here's the short and sweet of my experience with KRAM. Started off well. They were quick to respond to my request for an estimate, the estimate was fair, and ultimately, they charged me the exact amount in the estimate. That is the only reason they didn't get one star. Roof was put on in January, 2016. Within a year, the roof leaked in the same place as the original. I contacted them and Gilbert came out and quick fixed the problem canale, with no regard to the damage inside the house, despite multiple pleas. (I had saved the remaining discontinued ceiling tiles for after the roof was replaced, because....you'd think you wouldn't have a problem with a roof leak again, right!?! Nope...stuck with having to replace all of them because KRAM couldn't seal the canales correctly the first time.)Now fast forward to today: July 2020. No problems since the leak in 2017, but I've also been on top of sealing the canales, especially if cracked. I called them yesterday to see if they would transfer the remaining 6 months of the 5-year warranty. The nice woman on the phone can't tell me....she says that Gilbert has to come out and look at the roof. She says it needs to have had maintenance. No problem, I think...I've been on that just like Gilbert told me to when he came out in 2017. So Gilbert comes out and says he won't honor the warranty for the new home owners, because.....get this....the canales haven't been maintained by KRAM. They recommend getting maintenance done every 2 years, and that hasn't been done he says. Out of curiosity I asked him how much that would cost to get that maintenance and ultimately get the warranty transferred to the new owners. $850 he tells me!?! (Keep in mind the can of roofing adhesive needed to seal those canales costs about $20)While it is in the fine print of the warranty that the roof needs maintenance to be warrantied, there was no mention of the requirement of having them do it. This is definitely NOT a business I would recommend. Really poor experience.

My roof was old, not having any problems with it, but it did need to be replaced. K-Ram responded quickly with an estimate, worked patiently with me in providing samples. But, more important to me is that they patiently explained the pros and cons of each roof type I was considering, even supplying me with illustrations. I appreciated that. K-Ram showed up when they said they would, finished when they said they would and cleaned up as they said they would. K-Ram even went beyond expectations by helping me with other unrelated roofing issues that arose. They were exceptional consultants for the roofing for a new addition. My re-roof and my new roof are great, no issues, and I expect them to last for many years. I have complete confidence in K-Ram's expertise and workmanship. It is a very professional and pleasant company to work with. I would definitely recommend K-Ram and in fact, did recommend them to my sister-in-law.

Gilbert and his team did an amazing job. They installed a new roof fast, affordable and in a timely manner. We had an issue with the swamp coolers and they rushed right back over to fix it. A+ with a great attitude.

I recently had my roofing redone by this company and was very pleased with their work. They did an awesome job! I was happy to see that the workers did not leave a mess behind and cleaned up afterwards. The office has been patient with me handling my claim with my insurance company. They were very professional.
