Johnny & Dee's Picnic Basket

I have to say that this is one of the best finds in breakfast. I had the best chicken fried steak I've ever had. Super crunchy and the gravy was about the best I've had too. It had a nice peppery flavor. Coffee was great and the servers were by often to top me off. Staff was super friendly and attentive. Very nice place to visit on a nice weekend trip!

We were looking for a good place to have breakfast and this was within walking distance of our hotel. We got there before the breakfast rush, but they did get busy. They had a pretty big menu with several options for breakfast and lunch. I chose the chili verde and eggs omelette breakfast. When it came, it looked so good that I dug right in and forgot to get any pictures. Nice chunks of tomatoes and onions, with the chili verde with pieces of sausage on it. It came with hashbrowns and sourdough toast. It was more than I was able to eat in one sitting, so I had leftovers for another meal later. Cute ambiance in the restaurant itself. I'd happily go back and try some of their other offerings.

I enjoy coming here for the eggs Benedict. Always served hot! Not pictured we also had pancakes!

Had to wait around 20 minutes but was so worth it for the Delicious food! The service was very attentive and waitresses did great, loved the overall vibe was a very warm and cozy atmosphere which was very comfortable, would love to come again to try other things!

Such a small cute place!Staff was awesome, our server, Savanna was excellent, food was delicious!Very cute lay out. Bathrooms were clean.Decent prices.We did notice they are open FRIDAY NIGHTS, probably for Fish Fry. We will be back next time we visit Pine-top.

Grabbed these breakfast burritos on the way to go hike! The old fashioned w hashbrowns in the burrito & the garden w hashbrows. Both were excellent! Everything was fresh, filling & thankfully not greasy at all! Highly recommend!!

A hot sandwich served barely lukewarm. Cheese wouldn't melt. Server was not in a good mood. Some argument with her parents who may have owned the place. Won't go back.

Food today was not good. The chicken fried steak was thin and way overcooked. I asked for extra gravy and never received it. The guy that was serving out the Food several times was seen standing up by the cash register talking and he looked at me several times and never brought me the extra gravy I asked for. we didn't get a refill on coffee till we were ready to pay for meal. And the tab now as an extra percentage, if you want to put it on a credit card .

They fit us in right before they closed with exceptional service and food. The environment was very home-like and welcoming. Very kind people with very good food. Best patty melt on the mtn!!
