We were heading north on I-25 and, after a quick detour to pick up some Delicious Beef Jerky in the Village of Los Ranchos, we were looking for breakfast on our way back to the freeway. Found Jimmy's Cafe on Yelp and were we glad. Jimmy's Cafe on Jefferson offers all the best of a classic breakfast place:- extensive menu, including choices for lighter eaters (deeply appreciated)- comfortable- friendly, prompt service, attentive but not annoying We don't live in Albuquerque, but visit every year. Jim's Cafe will be on our restaurant list from now on.

First time at Jimmy's Cafe. They serve a lot of people and have a nice menu featuring breakfast classics as well as New Mexican staples, sandwiches, and burgers. The prices are reasonable too. My guests rated their skillets and cheesesteaks as an 8/10. My chicken skillet was more like a 5/10. Our main issue was that it took almost an hour for our food to arrive. I know they were very busy but this was breakfast basics(eggs, potatoes, toast) and a cheesesteak. Our server took our order in a timely manner, refilled drinks, etc but was noticeably absent while we waited for almost an hour. She stopped by once to say our food would be out soon and then we waited another 25 minutes. I'm going to give Jimmy's Cafe another try in the future but right now I'll only give it a 3/5 review. They can do better.

I've been to Jimmy's three or four times since it's near my office and other employees recommended it.Everything I've tried (breakfast, salads, the MOS burger) has been fresh and cooked the way I requested. Service is always prompt and friendly, too.The themed decorations are fun!

Holy fucking shit this place is dogshit. Sat at the front desk for 15 minutes waiting for anyone to come and seat me. The restaurant was 100% empty. Hostess shows up with a fucking attitude and asks how she can help me?! How tf do you think you can help. You think I'm here for an oil change?! Seat me!

Excellent breakfast! I had the Stephen breakfast that was a generous portion of hash browns, two eggs prepared perfectly as ordered, green chili and toast. The hash browns had a little cheese to make it perfect and the green chili gave it a nice little kick. The plate was served hot so that added to the satisfaction. Note: I was highly impressed with the patriotic things around the restaurant especially the prominent display of our nation's colors. That kind of pride is awesome!

Was beyond happy with Sunday breakfast at Jimmy's Cafe!! They were buzzing on Sunday morning :) The place looked full, but we were sat down quickly and our waitress was spot on. What I love about the service is they think ahead. They don't just serve 1 cup of coffee at a time, they serve your cup with a full pitcher. Additionally, you don't have to ask for condiments like jelly, as they are already set at the table. Don't be fooled by this cafe style restaurant. They are accustomed to the NM taste buds. Ordering a breakfast burrito, I was not disappointed with the fierce green chili! Lastly, the prices are competitive. Being a smaller adult, the small portions always satisfy my appetite. Must try. You'll thank me later

Good: friendly staff. Bad: food. I ordered an omelet and it had only meat inside, no cheese. Cheese was crusted on the outside. Super dry omelet. I got fruit and it was all melons. Gross. I asked for fruit with no melon, they brought out all grapes and one strawberry. Not worth the 25 min wait.

We had a business meeting up the street and heard raves about Jimmy's. The first thing I noticed was the Jimmy Neutron poster on the wall. We arrived and were immediately seated. After discussing the many options we ordered. My husband went with the breakfast burrito. I order the green Chile chicken skillet. Let me tell you with absolute delight I loved my meal. The Chile was perfectly spicy and the chicken melted in my mouth. It was an amazing balance of flavors. We both got plenty to eat and enjoyed the left overs. Good thing because I would still be dreaming about that savory delight. During our meal it dawned on me that everyone on the wall decor was a James, Jim, or Jimmy. Real or fictional it was fun figuring them out.Definitely will be back.

4.5/5 There's quite a few breakfast spots on Jefferson and out of the ones I have tried, I think Jimmy's, so far, is my favorite. I've tried Ramona's, Milly's, and now Jimmy's. This place is busy! Large groups of families are here. The place is pretty big to accommodate large groups as well as a busy breakfast morning. The menu is a bit extensive, which usually worries me because to me a large menu typically means lower quality. Not here.I couldn't decide what I wanted because I wanted about 3 things from the menu. I ordered the Breakfast Combo with a side of red/green Chile that I ended up smothering everything in. Both red and green chiles were good. Pancakes were alright. I chose sausage patties as my meat and I do not regret it. Breakfast places typically cheap out on their breakfast sausages by buying those thin chewy nasty sausage frozen patties from the store, but not Jimmy's. These sausage patties were legit. Thanks for not making me regret my decision lolOverall, the food was good. I'd for sure come back. Service was excellent. We had this young girl and she was hustling. She was running from table to table checking on everything. She was incredible. If you're coming with a large group be prepared to wait, especially on the weekend. Plenty of parking in the lot!
