Big ol' climbing trees, suitable for monkeys of all ages.
Great views from the playground.
Fun in the sun
Yummies under a shady tree
Tables set up for parties but none yet so it's nice and peaceful

Super large park with sports fields, playground and tons of grass to play on. There's trees so you can hide in the shade. Parking lot on site. I couldn't find bathrooms.

Fun park but there is no bathroom, so the day is over as soon as someone has to pee.

This park is grassy and full of big beautiful trees that are perfect for climbing. The playground is big enough to maintain a kid's interest and enthusiasm for at least an hour, and there's plentiful seating in both shady and sunny spots. A birthday party would probably be a great success here, especially with supplemental kites or frisbees or other throwing things. The grassy field is sizable enough for kickball and other such terrain-sprawling sport. We had a compelling game of pine one ninja (think live-action fruit ninja, sub Dowel rods and pine cones). There's a quaint earthen walking path on the far side of the park that, I believe, leads to a pedestrian sidewalk passing over I40 and leading to the Winrock mall. There's also A bunch of well-maintained tennis courts, which I thought were for public use but appear to be restricted access... tennis club or something? I don't know for sure; better check with google on that. There's imposing chain link fences surrounding them, and while tunneling under may be difficult due to the asphalt and turf perimeter, you could probably climb them if you really wanted to play when the courts were closed.* Yelp does not condone criminal trespassing, and their views are not necessarily reflected in my satirical advice on circumventing restricted access. One star deducted because of bathroom access. There's one in that... tennis club?... building, but of course your bladder relief is then at the mercy of their hours of operation. Go play here. Just go pee first.

I live in the neighborhood, this park has CONTINOUSLY gone downhill the last couple years. 90% of the grass is diseased, dead or dying, weed ridden and completely bald in large areas. If the city Park Maintenance Department would actually do there jobs, they would've noticed 12 months ago that the grass was in peril and needed to be medicated. Nice to see my tax dollars NOT hard at work. Poor park. Used to be a real beauty. The only reason I gave one star is due to the fact that the playground is great. Just don't let your kids try and roll in the grass which would be now considered rolling in the dirt.

This is a great park. Fields for soccer and football. A playground with wonderful equipment. Rolling hills and beautiful trees. A winding path that wanders all the way around the park. Tennis courts (18 Hard courts) and a gorgeous new Tennis Facilities building. A pedestrian underpass connects this park to the Tom Bolack Urban Forest and Dog Park on the west side of Louisiana. All-in-all, a great facility.

This review is for the Tennis Center. As we leave Albuquerque for a new job in Honolulu (please don't hate), I just want to express my appreciation for this outstanding Tennis Complex. The staff, facilities, and prices are some of the best we've seen. We have lived and played tennis all over the USA and what a bargain this facility is. Hope to return some day and play here again. Aloha... Chris and Melissa

Very cute park. Updated and clean children's appointment. Love the walking path around the park. Brought my dog here several times never been bothered by anybody. Lots of trees and other scenery. Friendly people and tennis courts just adjacent to the park. Very clean I found no trash or other questionable items at the park. Two Pokémon gyms and numerous PokéStops for the Pokémon GO lover. Got some steps in, exercise my dog and indulge in a little Pokémon going. What's not to love I'll definitely be back frequently.

We live very far from this park, but we love to meet our friends and their kids here. The play scape is nice and shaded in some parts for those hot summers. The running trail and tennis courts are also a favorite for me. There are plenty of nice trees that give off shade for a picnic or a nap. So bring a blanket and your picnic basket and have fun watching your kids play.
