Jean Chavez is a superb realtor. Throughout the entire process of selling my home, she was a trustworthy partner. Much to my surprise, her commission was well worth the expense. I know that things would not have turned out so well, had I attempted this on my own. I first encountered Jean at a neighborhood association meeting, at least 4 years ago, when she was the featured presentation. I was so impressed with her down-to-earth-real-person-competent aura, that I knew I would seek her out if ever I sold my home. Two years ago, I contacted Jean to assess my home, and recommend upgrades, because I was ready to simplify my life - I no longer wanted the house where I had raised 2 children, and later cared for my mother with Alzheimer's. Thirty years of accumulation in a 4 bedroom home!Jean's upgrade suggestions were going to cost some bucks, but I realized she was right, so I followed her script. It took me 2 years to clear out my house and complete the upgrades. I checked in with Jean now & then, letting her know I was a work in progress. She never bugged me for anything more. Numerous realtors & flippers tried to lure me away from Jean, and we had no signed contract, but I never wavered. I knew she was the genuine deal.In the final pre-listing days, I had a flight booked to join up with my man for our anniversary, but I still had 2 days of tasks following my endless interior painting work. I had to cancel my trip. Jean said, "No Way! You just go, and I'll take care of everything." She replaced cabinet knobs, cleaned the home, and completely staged it (it was empty). She listed it, showed it, and sold it, all while I was enjoying life with my man. We even completed the signature process online. The house sold for $10K above our asking price.I returned to deal with inspectors & the subsequent repair work. Jean was always there, leading me through every step, offering contractor names with whom she had a positive experience, whenever I needed suggestions. And her suggestions proved merited! She made sure I knew what to expect for my Closing. My final day in my home was hectic & desperate, not the way I would have wished my final day, after 30 happy years of raising children & care-providing my mother, and after sorting through all those memories. Jean showed up that day, helping me remove my final possessions & clean up the garage. She was the calm amidst the storm. Today, my simplified post-home-owner life is alive and well, and happy.Jean is the Realtor anyone would want.
