Oh my gosh, this place is wonderful, I'm making this my go-to flower shop downtown.The first thing you should do is read the Journal Outlook article, published in 1999, which tells the story of the owner and the history of the shop, which is now approaching -- no lie -- 120 years old. The article is framed near the register. Here's another fun fact: for many years (but not recently) the owner, Rosemary, placed her old, unsold flowers on the sidewalk, for anyone to take. These "bum bouquets" as she quaintly titled them, also drove customers in the door, because they briefly brightened nearby homes, and neighbors became fans of fresh-cut produce.I came in the door and just spat it out. "I have an eight year-old who's about to do a ballet recital, I need something." Rosemary quickly got to work. "I bet she likes lavender? Girls love lavender." Definitely. The bouquet, which took some time to clip and arrange, was $28 of beauty. If you're paying with credit there's a $20 minimum, that's a pretty mandatory spend to buy love, which is what you're doing with flowers, you know that, right? You're literally buying love, and it smells much, much better than you do.

This local shop has been around for a long time. They are a friendly and helpful location. They were helpful and friendly .

This was my first time ever ordering an arrangement. I wasn't sure what to ask for specifically. I mentioned it was my mother's birthday and her favorite color is purple. I also asked to add a butterfly because it's sorta my signature symbol and ohhh my goodness! She came up with such a beautiful arrangement! Especially since it's fall season, she still incorporated purples! My go-to shop now!

Where do I start? This wonderful flower shop is possibly the oldest in Albuquerque -- over 100 years old! Rosemary has operated it for the past 40 years and she is the most delightful person you would ever want to meet. Today mom and I walked in to see if we could find some plants to dress up her living room and we were not at all disappointed with our find. I remember the full glass wall fronting 4th Street as a child walking with mom and nana downtown to pay bills and go shopping. Such nostalgia. The glass has been replaced by a nicely painted block wall and smaller windows, so it really takes you by surprise to walk in and see the most charming, old-world shop you might never find anywhere else in Albuquerque. First, you are greeted by the delicious sweet scent of various flowers -- not just floral arrangements, but green plants and other nice table top arrangements that inspire you to maybe go home and redo your living or dining room. It is that luscious! A long red brick side wall holding plants of all varieties greets you with small ceiling windows bringing in just the right quality of light to soothe all types. Today Rosemary was jamming KANW radio with our unique New Mexico music and she was busily working on a wrist corsage of the most delightful mini red roses and black feathers. She confessed that the young man who commissioned it asked if there were any black flowers as his girl is really stylish. Rosemary couldn't think of any but was busy gluing exquisitely cut black feathers that made the whole thing pop! Mom and I couldn't resist buying an orchid, a mixed floral pot with 2 blooming plants Rosemary said we should transplant in our outdoor flowerbed when it warms, and a gorgeous floor plant mom just loves in her living room. I absolutely enjoy supporting local businesses. And after thoroughly enjoying Ives Flower Shop today, I will NEVER AGAIN order from 1-800-FLOWERS... Please support this awesome place if you can!

Ive's is the very best. I have been ordering flowers from Ive's for 40 years. I have never been disappointed. Value, service and quality are exceptional. I rely on Rosemary to put together bouquets for every occasion. She never disappoints.

I ordered an arrangement of lilies for a special friend in Albuquerque that really needed cheering up. After speaking with the owner, I left it up to her to select complimentary floral accents for the bouquet that would include lilies; and the selection of the stuffed animal to be included, as she knew her inventory best. Living in New England, I was extremely lucky to find such a wonderful florist! The beautiful pink roses and white and pink lilies with fern-type lacy accents were wildly appreciated, along with the plush and adorable stuffed bear. During this period of "Covid Bunker Living", it is really appreciated that we have such a floral artist who is able to bring a ray of sunshine to others.

Do Not Order from this flower shop!!!!! I placed an order with Telefloral and they used this flower shop to make our arrangement for a funeral and it was nothing like I had ordered. We already were dealing with the loss of our family father and to have this done was so disappointingt. It was supposed to be an arrangement made for a photo frame to display at the funeral and it was a simple looming centerpiece the flowers were not arranged to where I can place the photo to wheee it looked like the flowers were surrounding the photo. It was an awful looking arrangement. I will never order from Telefloral not will I ever use this local floral shop.

This shop is wonderful! Rob was so kind and helpful in picking out a funeral arrangement and making sure it was delivered on a Sunday. Such a pleasure to find such great customer service and their arrangements are beautiful.

Rosemary is a wonderful florist! She helped my mom choose flowers for a birthday arrangement and we were not disappointed! Truly kind and wonderful individual. Would highly recommend

My Friend was studying in Spain, and she had told me she was coming back home in a few days. With that in mind I had planned to sent her a nice bouquet or a nice floral arrangement, EXCEPT for one detail, I FORGOT the date. She sends me a message that she's leaving Spain and she'd be back in the states the next day. So the following day I get a text message from her saying shes in minneapolis and that she would arrive in Albuquerque at 10pm. So I frantically searched on google.com for "Albuquerque florists", and Called all 10 florists in the top results and they all told me the same thing, "You missed the Delivery Time (which was at 12pm in some places and 2pm in others)" and they all told me they could have the flowers delivered the next day, and that wasn't an option for me since I wanted to surprise her. So I changed the search and looked for "Florists in Albuquerque" and at the top of the list was a IVES FLOWER SHOP. I called them and asked if they could deliver a bouquet of flowers by 5pm and they said "Yes we can" which I thought was awesome because it was going to be 3pm.These Florist are great! The Most patient florist I have ever met! I had to call them back about 12 times because I didn't know a lot of the details about where my friend was staying at and she was as patient as can be! Just extraordinarily kind and helpful!My friend loved the flowers and they were delivered just in time. I ABSOLUTELY recommend Ives Flower shop! best in ABQ and the best with such short notices! And I never set foot in the Store, I called from San Diego, Ca and they did a magnificient job!Thanks Ives Flower Shop!!!
